I have seen the exact same ones in both the office break room and the basement dungeon at the leather bar.

I'll check back again in two weeks or so when the discounts go into ridic mode

List of people who are ready for woe and how we know this (seandalai), Tuesday, 23 June 2015 00:25 (eleven years ago)

I pretty much got out of having a raw denim interest but my friend ordered two pairs of Gustin jeans and they ended up being a little small. So he gave them to me.

:D

Some of those clothes on Mr Porter are insanely expensive, even with the discocunt.

I ain't got no bites / Bad itches is the only thing that I like (dog latin), Tuesday, 23 June 2015 13:52 (eleven years ago)

which discocunt?

mr porter is expensive - indeed. i actually saw a ton of nice clothes on their sale this year but nothing i was actually looking for, so it felt like a waste of money. i did see a shirt i bought two months ago at half-price though, that stung me.

there are some t-shirts/shirts/shorts/sweats at p reasonable prices. if you wanted to buy a winter coat now you'd probably get a bargain too.

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 23 June 2015 14:08 (eleven years ago)

The last Mr P sale was total garbage, this new one is a little better, but nothing too amazing. Once it goes to 70% off they stick a load of stock from past seasons up as well, so worth checking back then.

Had my heart set on this for a decent summer jacket but it got rinsed as soon as the sale started http://www.mrporter.com/en-gb/mens/apc/cotton-gabardine-lightweight-jacket/540654

Blandford Forum, Tuesday, 23 June 2015 14:23 (eleven years ago)

i was tempted by some of the weekend bags, some big reductions - but i just bought a 60 quid one on asos so that will do for now.

the stuff goes v quickly - i had a skim monday morning and it was about 10 pages shorter when i looked back that night. i kind of think it's only really worth bothering for coats, jackets or blazers and maybe shoes/bags. or at least i'm less likely to be mad keen to snap up a 120 quid shirt with a 30/40 per cent discount.

Re weekend bags, nice discocunt whistles job here http://www.whistles.com/accessories/canvas-and-leather-holdall-bag-18001.html?dwvar_canvas-and-leather-holdall-bag-18001_color=Blue%2FMulti#start=1

Blandford Forum, Tuesday, 23 June 2015 17:29 (eleven years ago)

oh i like that but ended up purchasing a printed hoody/windcheater which also had a nice discocunt.

Acting Crazy (Instrumental) (jed_), Tuesday, 23 June 2015 18:29 (eleven years ago)

Rolling discocunts

Blandford Forum, Tuesday, 23 June 2015 18:43 (eleven years ago)

i left my favorite maroon + gray wide-striped zip-up sweater hoodie at my boss' house this wknd - was kinda bummed but at least i know it's safe

surm, Tuesday, 23 June 2015 23:23 (eleven years ago)

The APC sale is pretty good, just got a pair of denim shorts for 55 quid including delivery. The prices in Euro seem a lot cheaper than the GBP conversions - is VAT missing or something? Would customs try to add that?

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 08:07 (eleven years ago)

As I understand it, they'll try to add charges if they spot it. I don't know if they always do, but it's a bit of a gamble - makes me nervous of ordering clothes from the US.

woof, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 08:59 (eleven years ago)

There wouldn't be customs restrictions or charges from the EU.

Acting Crazy (Instrumental) (jed_), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 09:16 (eleven years ago)

Are you sure that VAT is the same in France? If there are no charges then the current euro rate means a lot of savings.

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 12:37 (eleven years ago)

ohhh, it's from france. yeah, no vat and the exchange rate probably explains it maybe.

woof, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 12:43 (eleven years ago)

no extra customs/vat charges that is

woof, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 12:43 (eleven years ago)

Seems like madness not buying direct off any of these euro brands then I guess

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 12:48 (eleven years ago)

Yeah - titolo.ch is basically the only place I buy non-sale trainers, their range of stock is insane and they sometimes randomly get stuff way earlier than everyone else. Earlier in the year adidas released some lovely primeknit stan smiths (common projects Achilles without the gross midsole and hilarious pricetag) which sold out everywhere in a few hours but titolo had them for sale for like two weeks already.

ugh the apc website is such a bummer

lag∞n, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 13:15 (eleven years ago)

Xp also some uk brands are better to go to direct, Folk and Sunspel always have better sales on their own stuff than you'll find elsewhere

Blandford Forum, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 13:23 (eleven years ago)

i need to upgrade my favorite apc jeans

surm, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 14:14 (eleven years ago)

i don't understand paying £55 for jean shorts

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 14:23 (eleven years ago)

Upright Mammal (mh), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 14:25 (eleven years ago)

recently i am experimenting with short short camo shorts and white tees

surm, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 17:08 (eleven years ago)

Frankly, Caek I'm tired of your rules

surm, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 17:35 (eleven years ago)

point taken.

surm, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 17:35 (eleven years ago)

jean shorts seem a fairly commonly worn item to me - maybe it's different in the us.

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 17:39 (eleven years ago)

it is. don't get me wrong - i wore them for a long period after they fell out of style, and i still think they can work, but it's definitely harder for guys out here now. girls is a totally different story obv.

surm, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 18:10 (eleven years ago)

jean shorts gotta be ragged and ratty, weird to pay 55 for ragged and ratty

transparent play for gifs (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 18:21 (eleven years ago)

hell no

surm, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 18:24 (eleven years ago)

Strange, I see them p much everywhere. Prefer them to most other forms of shorts

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 24 June 2015 18:58 (eleven years ago)

fascinating to me! it was definitely a gay boy thing in NYC for a while, but it's faded somewhat. i love me my cotton shorts

surm, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 19:07 (eleven years ago)

i think i used to f w cutoff jorts in high school but i dont think ive worn them since, kudos to whoever can pull it off tho, feel like its easier for women

lag∞n, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 19:09 (eleven years ago)
