its interesting how common projects were inspired by classic shoes like stan smiths and vans and now its coming full circle with classic shoes being inspired by them

i can't wear white anything, they'll look like shit after one day of chi biking

fact: all white sneakers just look like Reebok Princesses

my bloody vans have been sitting in a tub soaking w oxy clean since we last spoke need to wash them

fact: all wite sneakers are tres cool

i tried on a pair of common projects and didn't really like the fit or anything - or the price obviously - white sneakers are going to end up fucked no matter what.

rn I'm rocking white Onitsuka Tigers w/ black patent trim/stripes and I'm v much into them but yeah the caps are filthy from my toe clips, whatever, yolo

hell yeah i'm wearing some mustard yellow tigers rn

they match the royal purple shochiku kabuki shirt from uniqlo i'm also wearing atm

fwiw i also have a couple of pairs of surfnyc shoes that i really like the look of but hurt too much to wear v often, theyre weirdly narrow and squish my toes up. i like them a lot so i still wear them sometimes anyways

a cool thing to do too imo is to go to vans.com and create yrself a custom pair except just make them white with an unusually colored foxing stripe

Need some new gym shoes. So tempted by some b/w Nike Frees (because they look nice over everything), but wondering if I'd be better off with a more traditional/robust Asics type things (cos I mean, who needs to look stylish in a gym really?). I mean, are the Nikes legit for gym or are they really just fashion shoes?

nike frees r good gym shoes, neutral shoes r good for lifting particularly, i personally prefer something with less sole than the nikes but theyre def better than a trad cross trainer imo

i guess i need to work out my gait. I p much just run to the gym, 10 mins of cross trainer, then the rest is machine weights. Nothing too intense but I'm going more and more and my Asics are from, like 2008 and worn out.

gait analysis is p cheap - free at lots of shops, though you won't have much of a fashion choice

i got the really lightweight new balances for mixed cardio and weights, i love 'em
