I like the stila eyeliner pen - just like a Sharpie with a brush tip and it stays put.

that sounds really nice actually. i've never really tried brush tip. i want to go more goth this summer.

am going to investigate jane iredale bb cream on monday. mineral formula supposedly rosacea friendly, good coverage etc.

i still like the peter thomas roth cc cream that i have been using the last couple of years. it's v calming, feels so nice early in the day. but it's more like a tinted moisurizer or a sheer foundation. corrects my color but not enough coverage. think i am ready for a change

the IT cosmetics concealer seems to be pretty good at red coverage - it's insanely pigmented, i used 1/8 of pea-sized amount to cover practically my WHOLE face (under eye, cheeks, chin, sides of mouth). i think the color i have is too dark tho.

oh oh oh i've started shaving my face! after i read the comments in a millihelen article. i think i have a totally normal amount of fine short blond face hair, it's totally invisible... until i put on makeup.

Just shaving? I pluck some of my very blonde moustache sometimes but that of course hurts like hell.. I am intrigued. I have become SO hairy! Super blonde and invisible but it drives me insane

yes! fresh razor tho, to avoid any irritation. makeup goes on a lot better.

I'm intrigued! Don't know if I can take the plunge - year long stubble mishap in my youth (classmate told me to shave off my hairline's baby hairs)

it's a myth that it grows back thicker or darker - it seems thicker bc it's all growing at the same speed once you shave. and if it does grow back thicker or darker, it's hormonal and not related to shaving.

i've lost some interest in makeup and now fully obsessed with skincare (taking it to the skin thread tho).

am a bit wary of the IT cosmetics concealer: citrus oils & fragrance make me worried that it would break me out right away. but I have read good things

ahh that's a good point!

fragrances are a big red flag for me, flare-up + breakout city every time

i tried something else with citrus oil & it burned like crazy, i've been leery ever since

my friend has been doing vitmain E oil at night, it would be awful on my skin but it is phenomenal on her

i really just don't think i can wear mascara anymore. i inevitably get racoon eyes.

Lash curler + clear mascara is a nice alternative esp if your lashes are already dark.

yea, i was thinking that too. i've done it before and it is sweet. do you have a preferred clear mascara?

I like this Elf dual sided mascara/brow gel because I find that clear mascara gets really gross really fast and this is cheap and comes in a small tube so you've got a fighting chance of being able to use it all up before you get too grossed out to use it.

sharper pencil? shorter pencil? idk i can do it with a pencil when i try

TO get it really precise I think liquid or gel is needed

pencil is the only thing that works on my skin tone without having a makeup artist in tow. but i do a p good subtle pencil. you can barely notice it, it just brings out the brown a little more.

jane iredale bb cream is pretty great! def evens out my skin & gives great coverage.
will need to practice applying so i dont look quite so halloweeny lol

they sold me a dermatologica green tinted primer too which is p nice

i bought this covergirl gold slightly shimmery eye shadow cream -- it's actually quite nice if you use it subtly

i feel like crying. 2 days of wearing this jane iredale & now my face is hot and prickly and. want to claw it off

I use some other mineral makeup (Mineral Hygienics) that I've probably talked about before and it doesn't bother my skin. I really just use their translucent powder (it has enough colour to even my skin tone out) and their super pigmented blush these days, but have tinted powder and eye makeup too. I guess I read about them on a rosacea forum years ago because otherwise I'm not sure how I would have come across them. Also their logo is awesomely 80s.

I tried a sample of bare minerals and the escentuals (?) one once and my face itched and burned, so obv not all mineral makeup is alike... :/

I should be wearing more than spf 15 tinted moisturizer but what would I use? Everything seems to be a skin destroyer for me. I can only use non-chemical sunscreens, yet even so their formulations are usually full of crap. Summer face veil it is...

I was out walking in a sunny day the other day with a friend and she was like Oh I should put sunblock on, and proceeded to pull out a small tube of that la Roche posay Helios sunblock from her bag and rub it on to her face. I thought she'd been wearing makeup but no. People with amazing skin, my god, so lucky.

Yeah I got those little tiny bumps too and redness bleah

I will go to sephora and check out the Peter Thomas Roth sunblock!

Speaking of BALM STAIN, Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Color is pretty good stuff. IIRC the last BALM STAIN I tried failed as both BALM and STAIN but this one manages to do a good job at both. Also: cheap. The lid will come off if you look at it funny, though, so watch your purse if you carry it around.

i haven't tried ww balm stains, but i got one for makeup stash i'm giving my mum.

surm have you tried real techniques brushes? they're my FAV - cheap, excellent quality.

i already have both core collections (eyes and face) + the powder brush + the expert face brush and i still want more!

OT but i recently got a sample of the new laneige cushion bb cream - it's pretty nice! very sheer, and i like the cushion/puff application.

i have been using clinique redness solutions foundation for the past 2 weeks & I am pretty happy with the results! coverage with dermalogica green primer is A+

starts to look a bit ragged at the end of an 8 hr day but rice powder keeps the shine to a minmum

no breakouts, and I barely notice it's on which is like yaaaay

i don't know if i'm just noticing it more or if has actually gotten worse, but the redness on my cheeks has become quite a bit of eyesore to me. combined with sunspots/freckles/whatever the f they are, it just makes my cheeks look darker than the rest of skin and really drags my face down.
