Jeff, Wednesday, 8 April 2015 23:07 (eleven years ago)

arch support is the key to life tbf tbh

I'm 100% positive I would have broken a toe on a piece of furniture by now if I didn't wear Crocs around the house, given the number of times I've bounced the front of these things off of doors and bookshelves with total impunity. Also yeah my fasciitis is not playing.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Thursday, 9 April 2015 01:08 (eleven years ago)

I was almost late for my street harassment mtg bc I was at home looking at the Clark's Summer 2015 styles. Which, I'll have you know, are f'ing aaaaawesome.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Thursday, 9 April 2015 01:10 (eleven years ago)

oh, i've been meaning to pop in and say this here. i've been rolling with some Gustin skinny cut jeans for a coupla months now. they're fucking dope. perfect fit (for me, anyway), solid construction, quality denim. very good deal. will order again.

circa1916, Thursday, 9 April 2015 03:40 (eleven years ago)

I think APC is on the decline. I've got two pairs of New Standards that I've been rotating through the years. They're a solid cut, but they're pretty cheaply constructed. From what I've read, they've outsourced their production and it shows. Flimsy. I spent a couple extra bucks on a pair of 3sixteens (which are apparently based on the APC dimensions) and they're phenomenal.

circa1916, Thursday, 9 April 2015 03:49 (eleven years ago)

have found their quality p good, but i haven't got their jeans. i have a coat and a few shirts - a sweater also.

acne studios was my one really bad experience with quality - don't buy their denim shirts.

Kind of feeling lost these days looking for a new direction

deej loaf (D-40), Thursday, 9 April 2015 12:08 (eleven years ago)

i've heard great things about normcore and health goth

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 April 2015 12:20 (eleven years ago)

from a guy who broke a toe by running into a corner in my home, I sympathize

mh, Thursday, 9 April 2015 13:57 (eleven years ago)

i refuse to speak the word normcore

it's like, duh. where have you been.

surm, Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:03 (eleven years ago)

I totally need to get some slippers, I instead I've been wearing this 10 year old pair of new balance 574s that are so worn on that they may as well be slippers.

I really want to get another pair of birkenstocks, like those slip on clog types (bostons maybe?) that could run in as casual shoes or slippers (and have arch support)

feels so horrible to say it but I have seen crocs on a few folks and they don't look too bad, kind of hippie-ish in a cute way, I don't know if I could do it though feels like a bit too far tbh

marcos, Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:04 (eleven years ago)

If you've gone birckenstocks you might as well go full croc

They're both repulsive imo

dandy don's weiner (rip van wanko), Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:30 (eleven years ago)

I don't really like normcore plus I'm a naturally husky dude so I feel like normcore never transmits as -core just norm

deej loaf (D-40), Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:30 (eleven years ago)

Tbh I don't rlly like Health goth styles either and I'm in bushwick so they're efin everywhere

deej loaf (D-40), Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:32 (eleven years ago)

Also I'm still into colors

deej loaf (D-40), Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:32 (eleven years ago)

health goth has a strong whiff of "fuccboi" (yecch these WORDS) to me

dandy don's weiner (rip van wanko), Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:37 (eleven years ago)

Whiff of "I make instrumental trap music"

deej loaf (D-40), Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:38 (eleven years ago)

mh, Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:39 (eleven years ago)

gybe horses (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:41 (eleven years ago)

thx dude

surm, Thursday, 9 April 2015 14:53 (eleven years ago)

i wouldn't say health goth and normcore are the only two modes of dressing.

Junior Dictionary (LocalGarda), Thursday, 9 April 2015 15:16 (eleven years ago)

sry its a fact

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 April 2015 15:19 (eleven years ago)

health goth is definitely a good thing

surm, Thursday, 9 April 2015 15:36 (eleven years ago)

never seen anyone dressed 'health goth' and i commute the same direction as the students at st martins. that said i'm sure there's a lot more sheer white/black styles going on at the moment among just everyday people in my office.

but then again, who really cares? I don’t. (dog latin), Thursday, 9 April 2015 15:46 (eleven years ago)

yea I've never seen a health goth irl, def seems like a novelty to me

also health and athletic gear in general is kind of gross imo unless you are actually doing an athletic activity

marcos, Thursday, 9 April 2015 15:54 (eleven years ago)

isn't normcore just "norm" plus a Supreme hat?

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Thursday, 9 April 2015 15:57 (eleven years ago)

very much health goth in ny

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 April 2015 16:12 (eleven years ago)

normcore is expensive clothes pretending to be normal m/l

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 April 2015 16:13 (eleven years ago)

feel like its in some ways the zenith of the trend of fancy clothes shifting from ostentatiousness to clubbiness

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 April 2015 16:14 (eleven years ago)

i've seen both health goth and normcore - i saw this ridiculously normcore girl on the bus one night that was definitely some kind of hipster but dressed in a sort of pastel cotton long-sleeved t-shirt, like an american grandma tourist or something, and white trousers.

seen a lot of health goths - but i mean not quite to the extent of the images you get if you google "health goth".

preppy does bleed into normcore a bit though - or just v basic stuff like apc could pass as normcore, and yet it's not as normcore as that girl on the bus.

Junior Dictionary (LocalGarda), Thursday, 9 April 2015 16:15 (eleven years ago)

what i wore yesterday: charcoal lauren by ralph lauren (lol) overcoat, slouchy grey crewneck uniqlo sweatshirt, navy jcrew tee, han kjobenhavn stone washed tapered jeans, yellow new balance 300s, and underwear and socks of which i will spare u the details

i felt p norm(core), tho i guess only the jeans match my description of fancy clothes masquerading as norm idk

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 April 2015 16:23 (eleven years ago)

can someone offer a precis of health goth? is it related to amanda palmer?
