i think a the bun can look good if you have thick curly hair, not a fan of straight-hair buns or buns with the sides of the head shaved

i loathe the man bun with the shaved sides

yea it is terrible

im sure it can work but every one ive seen IRL looks like the worst haircut ever

yeah its bad and goes against the whole vibe of the man bun

in general i think shaved sides are getting played out a little bit

they aren't really edgy anymore

i really just think of skrillex or some shit

i guess not all shaved-side styles, having hair at drastically different lengths can look cool if done right, like most things i guess

glad I ditched my shaved-sides cut abt a year ago for a chic, classic buzz

no shave-to-hard-part though, I like hair on both sides of the part thx

i'm going to grow my hair out again, i went 6 months without a cut starting last august and then did a longish buzz cut in february, it will be nice to have my curls back again, they are slowly coming back

i am kinda bored of every haircut right now and kinda want ilx style advice on that. last cut i got was that short on sides, long on top thing that is kinda done (that you're talking about). that cut was a while ago though. months and months. i have lots of hair now, waiting until it's not ice-cold out, and then cutting it off. but what to do? "classic mens" is not really doing it for me right now nor is this protracted undercut/boardwalk empire/etc haircut.

vvv tempted to just bring in a picture of a k-pop star just to have sthg different (worth noting i am v much a white dude). THOUGHTS?

I saw an undergrad at the gym the other day with a full-on 80's Tony Hawk haircut (aka the "squeeb"), right down to the half-bleach treatment. I was actually sort of stunned to see such a perfect example before me in 2015. You should do that.

I was in my mid-20s and at the height of my own crustiness the first time I saw a punk with batwings tattooed on his face and I knew then that my time in the subculture was a temporary dalliance because the first thought that came unbidden into my mind was, "You are NEVER going to get a job with that on your face!" Shortly thereafter, I cut off my dreads, moved back to Delaware, and got a job at a bank.
