r|t|c, Sunday, 22 February 2015 16:46 (eleven years ago)

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 16:50 (eleven years ago)

Everlane is cool 'n all, and I'd love to own one of the overnight bags max reps, but for sweatshirts I cannot think they are better than American Giant.

i have one of those and it's pretty great but i've been afraid to buy another one because, as many of the comments on that website attest, the "fit" seems to have changed and become more boxy, which i hate.

ryan, Sunday, 22 February 2015 19:28 (eleven years ago)

american giant is all abt being the best made sweatshirt in the universe but its no fashion

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 20:43 (eleven years ago)

say what you will lag∞n, but i'm ill as f in my AG sweatshirt, flannel dog boxers and fur-lined moccasins

the captain beefheart of personal hygiene (soda), Sunday, 22 February 2015 20:46 (eleven years ago)

im not saying u cant flip it like a champ just that its of a different category

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 20:49 (eleven years ago)

i remember reading about it and was kind of interested, tho best-made last forever is not really my aesthetic, but then when they were talking about like the extra panels they added on the side and arms and stuff i was like nah cause thats not frequency

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 20:55 (eleven years ago)

also anyone who thinks the zip hoodie is the foundational hoodie doesnt know anything about hoodies

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 20:56 (eleven years ago)

the pullover is the core hoodie, zip vers is a variant, and inferior tbqh

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 20:57 (eleven years ago)

a discerning gentleman owns maximum one zippered hoodie for every two pullovers

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:01 (eleven years ago)

the zip hoodie just has no structural integrity, try putting up the hood it looks like a wet rag, try putting it down it still looks like a wet rag

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:08 (eleven years ago)

i h8 hoodies

no (Lamp), Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:13 (eleven years ago)

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:14 (eleven years ago)

Can't even respond to that.

Jeff, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:14 (eleven years ago)

idk i never want a hood on my head, <3 sweatshirts though

no (Lamp), Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:17 (eleven years ago)

i love hoods, long time hood fan

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:19 (eleven years ago)

like i wont even buy a parka if the hood is detachable

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:20 (eleven years ago)

i dont love having hats on my head is prob part of that

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:21 (eleven years ago)

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:35 (eleven years ago)

I like the ones that look like Cosby sweaters. But did Cosby ruin Cosby sweaters now?

Jeff, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:50 (eleven years ago)

no its okay since its not an actual sweater

lag∞n, Sunday, 22 February 2015 21:52 (eleven years ago)

panels on the side nah that's not me

thrifty grades of pay (Stevie D(eux)), Monday, 23 February 2015 01:44 (eleven years ago)

i haven't bought a hoodie in years bcz i feel like i've "grown out" of them but i like the punk-rock aesthetic of a v tight-fitting black zip hoodie tho so i might go buy one

thrifty grades of pay (Stevie D(eux)), Monday, 23 February 2015 01:44 (eleven years ago)

pullover hoodies >>> zip ups tho i still have a zip up

besides everlane i like some of the reigning champ stuff

but the best thing about everlane sweats is the lack of the collar triangle

max, Monday, 23 February 2015 05:25 (eleven years ago)

no collar triangle no credibility

the late great, Monday, 23 February 2015 05:28 (eleven years ago)

what is the collar triangle even i think it might be a disease

lag∞n, Monday, 23 February 2015 05:29 (eleven years ago)

cheers carl! (many many xps)

I, (dog latin), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:15 (eleven years ago)

if we're talking about the little wishbone/cross thing on the front of sweatshirts, i don't like them.

I, (dog latin), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:16 (eleven years ago)

the triangle, not the cross

Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:17 (eleven years ago)

a good rule of thumb here is that it's a triangle

Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:18 (eleven years ago)

the cross is another debate i guess

Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:18 (eleven years ago)

then i'm not sure what we're talkign about. pic?

I, (dog latin), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:26 (eleven years ago)

Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:30 (eleven years ago)

yeah, thought that's what we were talking about. sometimes the triangle forms a little cross-shaped thing at the front. not a fan. then again i'm not a huge fan of sweatshirts

I, (dog latin), Monday, 23 February 2015 10:50 (eleven years ago)

Grand pronouncement: A man needs a sweatshirt, or a utility sweater.

the captain beefheart of personal hygiene (soda), Monday, 23 February 2015 11:17 (eleven years ago)

I'd rather wear a hoodie or knitted jumper than a sweatshirt. Just not sure how to 'wear' them really (i.e. what to wear them with and in what context).

I, (dog latin), Monday, 23 February 2015 11:30 (eleven years ago)

man, pullover vs zip hoodies is an enduring ilx debate i guess. don't want to just slip back into the face off of restating contradictory positions so i am going to just offer a little bit of advice, if you think pullover hoodie > zip then i recommend you reevaluate every single facet of your existence. it will be a hard road but worth it in the end i promise and when you get there maybe i'll let you buy me a beer.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 23 February 2015 13:06 (eleven years ago)

Maybe I"ll let you zip my hoodie up
