I tried to find the most "over it" looking GIS possible. Awwwww.

Any skepticism I may have felt was dispelled by that bird.

If there's anything particularly alluring about these simple clothes, though, it's the contradictions that they communicate. Everlane clothes suggest affluence as much as they do modesty. They enable you to "pass" within the corporate world while at the same time signaling a certain countercultural rebelliousness to those who are "with it" enough to pick up on their idiosyncrasies.

the everlane sweatshirt fit me not at all

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 03:51 (eleven years ago)

Destroy this brand and all those associated with it, plus some chickens

rip van wanko, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 04:35 (eleven years ago)

diamonddave85 (diamonddave85), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 04:38 (eleven years ago)

I own tons of everlane stuff and I love it

max, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 11:42 (eleven years ago)

Their stuff looks good and they have obviously spent a lot of time thinking about their brand and what it should be but

yeah i mean theyre not any more worth buying as like "sweatshop labor free" than american apparel is

max, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:25 (eleven years ago)

but if you are looking to cultivate an "interestingly boring" aesthetic as i always am they're perfect

max, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:25 (eleven years ago)

Never heard of em but I just looked at their clothes and I can imagine how they would (not) fit me, and how they would look. I'll stick with my chosen mall-wear.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:26 (eleven years ago)

I'm intrigued.

Jeff, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:27 (eleven years ago)

expensive uniqlo or cheap apc

Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:29 (eleven years ago)

that's not a diss btw - the bags look nice

Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:29 (eleven years ago)

i have one of the weekend bags and a bunch of their tees and sweats. better quality for the same price from, say, j. crew.

max, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:34 (eleven years ago)

I've never heard of it either but the site looks good and I'd fux w/ this stuff if I could try it on first

thrifty grades of pay (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:35 (eleven years ago)

i would get a bag if they shipped to europe.

j crew is p bad quality and they converted their us prices to pounds when they opened in london, which is crazy.

Cheaper! Everlane rules!

Allen (etaeoe), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:41 (eleven years ago)

THis probably just shows my limited frame of reference but the other thing about them that strikes me is that they just remind me of Muji lol

, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 13:43 (eleven years ago)

the twill backpack i got rules, best backpack. someone actually complimented me on my backpack.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 14:00 (eleven years ago)

Yeah there is a muji esque thing, sort of aggressive simplicity, even an ikea vackrare vardagsvara thing too

max, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 14:06 (eleven years ago)

everlame

no (Lamp), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 14:17 (eleven years ago)

i like uniqlo for basics and workwear, but these ill-fitting grey sweat tops and jeans, i dunno. just strikes me as trickle-down normcore.

oi listen mate, shut up (dog latin), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 14:22 (eleven years ago)

I don't think this is normcore -_-

, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 14:23 (eleven years ago)

I like everlane because it happens to fit me better than any other standard-sized brand that i've tried and can afford, but the way their women's stuff is tailored seems strangely specific. iirc that article mentions them being "boxy" which is exactly what a friend said before returning everything she'd bought (she said you need to be kind of 'boyish' and angular to make it work). their brand story is def annoying and i'm sure 龜 is right about the factories, but the quality is unquestionably superior to uniqlo. no reason to spend $$ shipping to the uk though

rob, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 15:41 (eleven years ago)

yes xp

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 16:43 (eleven years ago)

I like boxy but I have to fit an actual body inside of it. If it depends on having shoulders like a geometry lesson to make it work and I can't close the buttons, I'm out.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Wednesday, 18 February 2015 16:47 (eleven years ago)

everlane sweatshirt slim, too slim for me

lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 16:48 (eleven years ago)
