"FROM WHENCE CAME YOUR DIVER'S WATCH?"

walid foster dulles (man alive), Thursday, 29 January 2015 23:29 (eleven years ago)

Pray tell, hast thou unidirectional bezels? Thine timepiece quite outshinest the modest surround of this humble boardwalk.

Wristy Hurlington (ShariVari), Thursday, 29 January 2015 23:33 (eleven years ago)

There are certain things every man should own.

A well-fitted dark suit. Sunglass frames that fit his face. A pair of jeans beaten so comfy he’d rescue them from a burning building.

And one of these: a sturdy, no-frills leather duffel that can convey all the gear he needs for a weekend abroad.

A weekend abroad you say

"FROM WHENCE CAME YOUR DIVER'S WATCH?"

lol

bringing two cartier watches on a trip is a v. advanced move

call all destroyer, Friday, 30 January 2015 01:38 (eleven years ago)

Apparently a Louis Cartier "no-frills" 24-hour bag will set you back over $4000. On the other hand, it literally does not have frills.

walid foster dulles (man alive), Friday, 30 January 2015 02:07 (eleven years ago)

how much are the frills

lag∞n, Friday, 30 January 2015 02:08 (eleven years ago)

a measly few bills

walid foster dulles (man alive), Friday, 30 January 2015 02:11 (eleven years ago)

well the bag costs about half as much as the watch so i'll call it a deal

lol eazy

call all destroyer, Friday, 30 January 2015 03:42 (eleven years ago)

so i imagine this is totally a basic 101 type question but i so rarely wear jackets or blazers so... it is probably not good to wear a corduroy blazer with a corduroy pants (different colors, the pants are darker). i am thinking no?

marcos, Friday, 30 January 2015 13:39 (eleven years ago)

yeah not a great idea

call all destroyer, Friday, 30 January 2015 13:43 (eleven years ago)

well does it look cool i mean

lag∞n, Friday, 30 January 2015 13:46 (eleven years ago)

I feel like you can pull it off. I believein you

, Friday, 30 January 2015 13:48 (eleven years ago)

i think its possible for that combination to work but i think the blazr and pants need to be very distinct for it not to look just... weird. it will still look kinda weird but at least weird-on-purpose not i cant dress myself weird

i think its so weird that the only way to sell stuff to clueless rich dudes is to convince them its somehow essential. 'a real man only needs four things in this world one of which is a three thousand dollar leather ipad cover.'

Re: cap toe shoes I wear cap toes, but they are rockports so that offsets any notion of them being too formal.

I had this black hanes tee that got a weird bleach stain on the right breast and I used to wear it with the bleach stain and people would ask me if it was a designer t-shirt. I actually thought about making a whole line of unique bleach-stained black tees after that.

walid foster dulles (man alive), Friday, 30 January 2015 14:38 (eleven years ago)

I like those a lot, and a stronger dollar seems to be making them not outrageous.

The way to break all the rules is to wear pink (this is also a rule)

"try a flash of orange" - men's fashion is described in the exact same way all the time. each season has been the same for 4/5 years - "camo is back", "blue is trending strongly", "plaids are back", "orange/burgundy will be the colour of the season", "monochrome outfits are trending", "a slightly different take on floral is trending again"

Moyes Enthusiast (LocalGarda), Friday, 30 January 2015 16:14 (eleven years ago)

i WISH camo were back :|

, Friday, 30 January 2015 16:21 (eleven years ago)
