i think i dig those dark sorels the most. sorel seems like the best bootmaker w/r/t winter boots. probably more expensive than bean though. for super robust snow boots i have a pretty unhip pair of kamiks that work fine. i'm eager to replace them but they have shown little wear in 5 years.

i acknowledge athletic wear is practical and necessary for exercise, but beyond that i kind of find it grotesque. a while back i also used to work at a big athletic university and all the jocks would wear two things: 1) mesh shorts, sweatpants, pullover hoodie during the daytime; 2) ugly-ass jeans and button-down striped shirt at night

Oh god the combination of that guy's grooming + how cheap-halloween-costume it looks + his awful, awful delivery + failed attempts at humor make the video on that Suitsy page v hard to watch. I made it 2/3 thru and had to stop

so i'm not going to keep the 501s shrink to fit, seems like too much of hassle to deal with this tub-soaking bullshit when all the other pairs i ordered fit pretty great out of the box. i just know the 501s aren't going to fit right after soaking and then i'm going to be stuck with this weird-fitting pair of jeans i can't return

i think i speak for the board when i say we need you to go through with this experiment

xp very true but when i tried on the 501s pre-shrinking i just couldn't believe they would every shrink to actually fit me right. btw 514, 504, and 505 are awesome, got in them in very cool shades of black and they look very nice tbqf

my current 501s did not shrink as much as i hoped so i got them shortened and it was fine. i only bothered because they are 1947s, but $40 regular 501s, just roll them up?

i looked very good in the bath with them on, i must say. quite the man about town.
