I've only returned things to Amazon twice but both times it let me request UPS come and pick up the box from our house, which was pretty amazing. That may not work out in the sticks.

carl agatha, Tuesday, 9 December 2014 20:13 (eleven years ago)

it works but u have to pay for that if u drop off its free

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 December 2014 20:17 (eleven years ago)

lol i am so fucking coddled, it literally did not occur to me that most places in this world don't have 5 gazillion high street shops catering to every sub-niche of clothing preference

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 9 December 2014 21:04 (eleven years ago)

yah even in my major-ish city there's no more than a handful of brick and mortar retailers for mens clothes that are worth a damn.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 9 December 2014 21:11 (eleven years ago)

Also even in a major city if you're big and tall, you're generally SOL.

carl agatha, Tuesday, 9 December 2014 21:14 (eleven years ago)

oh god yes

^^ that's really my problem

marcos, Tuesday, 9 December 2014 22:22 (eleven years ago)

ok what is the best underwear that can transition from workaday to running/sports? i have been experimenting with low-end (walmart etc) boxer briefs, but I can't seem to find anything that doesn't end up chafing or bunching somewhere. I think I need something that is more snug in the most private of areas, or made of higher quality materials, or both. i am now willing to spend maybe $10 a pair (as opposed to $3) but I can't do much more than that. thanks.

rip van wanko, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 17:50 (eleven years ago)

Highly recommend Kirkland boxer-briefs from Costco -- just snug enough imo.

man alive, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:18 (eleven years ago)

The gap ones also weren't bad iirc, maybe slightly more snug but they lost their fit faster in the wash.

man alive, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:23 (eleven years ago)

i'd look for undies labeled as 'activewear' -- they have the snugness required iirc
do not put them in the dryer tho

vigetable (La Lechera), Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:25 (eleven years ago)

get compression shorts just for running or wear briefs imho

lag∞n, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:31 (eleven years ago)

two different kinds of underwear is way too complicated for me, only recently started stocking different types of non-athletic socks.

man alive, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:33 (eleven years ago)

well its no different than socks man

lag∞n, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:41 (eleven years ago)

alive

lag∞n, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:42 (eleven years ago)

I just have running shorts that have the built in liner. I do not wear any additional underwear.

Jeff, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:58 (eleven years ago)

do u wear anything under yr tights

lag∞n, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:58 (eleven years ago)

Not usually, unless it is really really cold.

Jeff, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 18:59 (eleven years ago)

ya i use the build in underwears in shorts but then when its colder i wear pants no tights so

lag∞n, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 19:03 (eleven years ago)

thanks bros, yeah I may go the compression shorts route. last pair of those I had were some electric blue Hinds in the 8th grade tbh. felt like a superhero.

rip van wanko, Tuesday, 16 December 2014 19:11 (eleven years ago)

Reached by phone, a Chrisdien Deny representative denied that the brand was trying to piggyback on the reputation of Christian Dior, which has dozens of stores in China.

Very good

Helen Keller glasses would probably have a hard time selling overseas, too. Though the company’s website includes a lengthy biography of Helen Keller, it omits all mention of the disabilities she worked hard to overcome.

Reached by phone, a brand manager found nothing problematic about the omission. “So she’s blind and deaf — her personal shortcomings are not related to the spirit of our brand,” said the woman, who gave only her surname, Jiang. “These products help you love and protect your eyes. Why would that be offensive?”

also i have detected a pattern http://www.norsestore.com has a lot of menswear standards for cheaper than everywhere else, im thinking because theres crazy tax on this stuff in the eurozone but then if u buy from them from the states u dont have to pay the tax and it actually comes out cheaper where it wld be more expensive w the tax

http://i.imgur.com/s6NGIRx.png

like look common projects usually $400, apc usually $185, these are their normal non sale prices ($25 to ship to usa, tho they had a free shipping thing going for the holidays, i bought a norse projects jacket)

lag∞n, Monday, 29 December 2014 22:12 (eleven years ago)

interesting i wonder if there's any risk of getting whacked by customs.

call all destroyer, Monday, 29 December 2014 23:10 (eleven years ago)

I've never heard of anybody int he states getting whacked by customs

, Monday, 29 December 2014 23:14 (eleven years ago)

i know ppl who have been whacked by customs ordering stuff from the US to the UK but idk about the reverse

ogmor, Monday, 29 December 2014 23:23 (eleven years ago)

i was not whacked by customs fwiw

lag∞n, Monday, 29 December 2014 23:26 (eleven years ago)

unrelated question. i have not worn jeans in prob 6 years and i am thinking of buying a pair? i almost exclusively wear chinos. where is a decent quality, good-fitting, and reasonably priced (~$50-$75) pair of jeans available?

also i am kind of thinking that i also want a jean-like pair of pants that are not blue jeans but are also not chinos. something casual and sturdy and possibly with rivets. something exists like this, right? or am i just thinking of non-blue denim?

marcos, Monday, 29 December 2014 23:43 (eleven years ago)

Uniqlo

, Monday, 29 December 2014 23:45 (eleven years ago)

Can depend tho - some stuff is 100% cotton, some is stretchy blend
