lag∞n, Thursday, 4 December 2014 18:48 (eleven years ago)

isn't your idea just a merino wool kimono?

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Thursday, 4 December 2014 18:55 (eleven years ago)

it like the intersection of a jacket a kimono and a sweater and its revolutionary

lag∞n, Thursday, 4 December 2014 18:57 (eleven years ago)

found it http://www.lanvin.com/e-lanvin/US/double-sided-wool-kimono-coat-fur-hood-30925.html?gclid=CLjKlNWIrcICFQsSMgodJwUA2Q

lag∞n, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:14 (eleven years ago)

i have never owned a top man garment, total garbage no?

lag∞n, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:15 (eleven years ago)

that's the word

18th Century Celebrity WS of Shame (Hurting 2), Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:21 (eleven years ago)

i remember looking at their stuff once it was comically slim and would never fit me

call all destroyer, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:23 (eleven years ago)

Topman the name has always sounded like a bad Chinese brand to me

, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:27 (eleven years ago)

totally

18th Century Celebrity WS of Shame (Hurting 2), Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:30 (eleven years ago)

topman hotspur

lag∞n, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:31 (eleven years ago)

lol, that's the preferred pronunciation definitely

ogmor, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:32 (eleven years ago)

top man stuff is no worse than h&m imo

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Thursday, 4 December 2014 20:02 (eleven years ago)

faint praise

18th Century Celebrity WS of Shame (Hurting 2), Thursday, 4 December 2014 20:04 (eleven years ago)

well sure, but in the world of stuff you're only going to wear for a year, it's fine

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Thursday, 4 December 2014 20:06 (eleven years ago)

that said, i don't think i've ever bought anything there, and i've bought plenty of h&m stuff so shrug

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Thursday, 4 December 2014 20:07 (eleven years ago)

H&M has pretty good dress shirts imo

, Thursday, 4 December 2014 20:09 (eleven years ago)

I basically only wear H&M dress shirts. They're cheap, they look good, and they fit.

Clay, Thursday, 4 December 2014 20:19 (eleven years ago)

friend at work started buying uniqlo shirts and they look good fwiw -- I complimented him on one which is how I found out it was uniqlo

18th Century Celebrity WS of Shame (Hurting 2), Thursday, 4 December 2014 21:36 (eleven years ago)

i like the uniqlo oxfords i have but the collars are a little too short/narrow to wear a tie imo

adam, Thursday, 4 December 2014 21:38 (eleven years ago)

uniqlo shirts would be perfect for me if the sleeves were longer

chinavision!, Thursday, 4 December 2014 21:45 (eleven years ago)

Top man is quite a step down quality-wise from even h&m. Total garbage.

Nancy Whank (jed_), Thursday, 4 December 2014 23:13 (eleven years ago)

h&m is total garbage too these days though (10 years ago it was pretty good imo)

death in Skegness (seandalai), Thursday, 4 December 2014 23:20 (eleven years ago)

yep

waht abt muji

lag∞n, Friday, 5 December 2014 16:45 (eleven years ago)

Probably same or a little less than Uniqlo ime

, Friday, 5 December 2014 16:47 (eleven years ago)

been happy w/their chinos and they fit me like a glove

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Friday, 5 December 2014 16:47 (eleven years ago)

no u accidentally bought a glove

lag∞n, Friday, 5 December 2014 16:47 (eleven years ago)

I have stuff from Muji that's torn after 2-3 wears and stuff that's held up well for a couple of years

From what I remember their prices seem to be higher in the States than back in Asia, in Asia they're probably as expensive as Uniqlo but maybe 1.5-2x the price here

Dunno if it's worth the premium

, Friday, 5 December 2014 16:52 (eleven years ago)

i might buy some tho

lag∞n, Friday, 5 December 2014 16:57 (eleven years ago)

they have cashmere sweatpants for $40 think how luxurious

lag∞n, Friday, 5 December 2014 16:58 (eleven years ago)

someone shd buy this jacket on half price http://www.muji.us/store/apparel/men-s-muji-labo/labo-men-wool-cashmere-melton-duffle-coat.html

lag∞n, Friday, 5 December 2014 16:59 (eleven years ago)

what is yr sense on their sizing dan

lag∞n, Friday, 5 December 2014 17:00 (eleven years ago)

Pretty similar to uniqlo* (I actually find H&M to be the most tight in the sizing department or maybe most reluctant to use 'vanity' sizing)

Their cuts tend to be more loose/boxy than the form-fitting look that's popular now

, Friday, 5 December 2014 17:02 (eleven years ago)

My feeling is most of their stuff looks pretty good because it might have a more unique cut but tends to be lacking in the detailing

, Friday, 5 December 2014 17:02 (eleven years ago)

Unique design I should say

, Friday, 5 December 2014 17:02 (eleven years ago)

yeah their design seems more sophisticated than these other stores which tend to occupy the staples-grotesque trend hopping range

lag∞n, Friday, 5 December 2014 17:05 (eleven years ago)

I have a cotton cardigan from Muji that's too small because I forgot to size up for sweaters, very rookie mistake

, Friday, 5 December 2014 17:06 (eleven years ago)

FYI Labo is one of their sub-brands, think it's supposed to be of higher quality

, Friday, 5 December 2014 17:06 (eleven years ago)

that said not sure im ready for a bloomin button down, tho maybe if worn untucked
