lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 02:23 (eleven years ago)

yeah parkas are way too much for the pnw, like it's rarely below 40º here except for rando weeks in february. i really just want a kinda light peacoat that doesn't look 70 years old and actually fits me.

yung dirk (Clay), Friday, 26 September 2014 02:33 (eleven years ago)

im sure u can find that jsut believe in yrself

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 02:38 (eleven years ago)

really like this a lot!

yung dirk (Clay), Friday, 26 September 2014 03:00 (eleven years ago)

I had a few Woolrich things in college that I really liked and was kind of pissed when they reinvented themselves as a high-end "heritage" brand, less in a "I liked it before it was cool" way than in a "I can't afford this shit anymore" way.

I do like that colorblock parka and that's not outrageously priced.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 26 September 2014 03:27 (eleven years ago)

not really feelin the two tone, they have the solid ones here for cheap tho not in all sizes http://www.sierratradingpost.com/woolrich-mountain-parka-for-men~p~4471k/?filterString=s~woolrich-mountain-parka

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 03:30 (eleven years ago)

old ones came in better colors tho imo

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 03:31 (eleven years ago)

Markers I was also gonna suggest a better haircut and maybe some new frames too -- a good shop can probably help you pick something good for the shape of your face. I think the hoodie you're wearing looks fine and I can't see the jeans but I agree that I'd move away from carpenters.

For shoes I'm a guy who really doesn't like owning lots of different pairs, and I almost always wind up buying Campers as my all-purpose shoes -- they have a lot of styles that are simple but just interesting enough to spruce up your outfit a little. Good shoes and glasses can make an otherwise ordinary outfit look stylish imo.

I really like this jacket

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 26 September 2014 03:32 (eleven years ago)

I do need a new parka and would kind of like to spend $200 or less, maybe bump up to $250 if it's great.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 26 September 2014 03:33 (eleven years ago)

that llbean parka i posted upthread is <$200 and very classic imho

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 03:34 (eleven years ago)

i like that jacket too

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 03:35 (eleven years ago)

i like the how the guy modeling it is basically brett favre

yung dirk (Clay), Friday, 26 September 2014 03:39 (eleven years ago)

yeah those bean parkas are nice

looks like the diff btw the sierra trading post parkas and the other one is that the more expensive one is wool-lined. Ebay has some solid-color ones but not in my size.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 26 September 2014 03:40 (eleven years ago)

I think anyone ITT could wear that jacket better than the model in the picture

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 26 September 2014 03:40 (eleven years ago)

he leaned against a tree and everything he is giving you his all and this is how u repay him smh

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 03:42 (eleven years ago)

i wld prob go w the khaki one

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 03:42 (eleven years ago)

"dark wheat"

Treeship, Friday, 26 September 2014 05:01 (eleven years ago)

speaking of hoodies - how acceptable are these on people over 30? I used to wear 'em as a default for days off / casual nights out at the pub or gigs but mine are all worn out and I only really where them for slumming around the house. love the feel of hoodies (you go with what you're used to) but I'm feeling slightly reluctant about buying a new one for fear of looking like I'm starting out on my jogging regime :-/

zip it shrimpy (dog latin), Friday, 26 September 2014 14:34 (eleven years ago)

I still fux w hoodies, tho not like I used to

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:41 (eleven years ago)

*wear in that last post of mine.

zip it shrimpy (dog latin), Friday, 26 September 2014 14:43 (eleven years ago)

I was just trying to shop for a new hoodie in fact but idk maybe the best hoodies come to you

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:46 (eleven years ago)

agree

zip it shrimpy (dog latin), Friday, 26 September 2014 14:47 (eleven years ago)

yea^ they can be hard to find. i was not shopping around when i found my two favorite hoodies

marcos, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:47 (eleven years ago)

i try not to wear hoodies for anything more involved than running errands and stuff.

call all destroyer, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:49 (eleven years ago)

I just realized right now that I've hated hoodies my whole life.

chinavision!, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:51 (eleven years ago)

For a more mature, anti-jogging look pair a hoodie with a blazer

, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:52 (eleven years ago)

even that name! Xpost

chinavision!, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:52 (eleven years ago)

I definitely wear hoodies a lot less than I used to. I did recently buy a pretty nice Rag & Bone hoodie on ebay for a good price but then realized it was the wrong size and sold it to someone else.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 26 September 2014 14:53 (eleven years ago)

i like hoodies and the name but lets be clear here folks pull over hoodies

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:54 (eleven years ago)

like people be calling zipper hoodies "hoodies" but thats a subsidiary hoodie

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:55 (eleven years ago)

as long as there are sweaters in the world, never wear hoodies imo

I even like normal (non hoodie non zip up) sweatshirts. a nice solid color or heather grey for instance. combine w a light hooded parka.

chinavision!, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:55 (eleven years ago)

For a more mature, anti-jogging look pair a hoodie with a blazer

please do not do this

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Friday, 26 September 2014 14:56 (eleven years ago)

theyre just different garments man its silly to be all only wear one but not the other

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:56 (eleven years ago)

like i own hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts and zip up sweatshirts w no hood

lag∞n, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:57 (eleven years ago)

I'm just someone who hates hoodies is all

chinavision!, Friday, 26 September 2014 14:57 (eleven years ago)

each has its own vibe
