Thanks. I have lost a bunch of weight (like, 14 pounds) over the past 3-4 months and I was not super overweight to begin with, but now I have no idea what size I am anymore. All my 32" pants are super-baggy all of a sudden. I guess I might need to bulk up a bit again.

I have a bunch of frank and oak clothes I got at a pop up store they opened here. Nice stuff - good quality for serious value.

Just finishing off a new shirt. A floral take on a 19th century missouri riverman shirt. Been wanting to do it for months but am really behind.
&it seems to be taking me longer than it should to construct things. Hope its just this cold/flu slowing me down cos I can't see how I'd go faster.
Got 2 other shirts part done & finished a pair of striped jeans last week.
Next project is a frock coat I think. Unless I go for a different cut of jeans first.

NA was over on Sunday and he commented that he needed new socks and I told him ALL ABOUT Uniqlo socks and made him fondle three pairs of them and he accused me of being a social media brand manager for Uniqlo.

I forgot to pack 6 out of the 7 pairs of Uniqlo socks I bought and they're somewhere in SHanghai :(

I'm going to a wedding in the south of France in July and I'm wondering what to wear. I have a feeling I'll perish if I wear my John Lewis woolen suit (it's hot enough on the tube in mid-February).

My question is, what can I wear as an alternative? Would people generally wear suits at weddings in hot climates? Is there a place I can get something a bit lighter and cooler for the summer?

yup a lightweight cotton or linen suit is the top option (I think lightweight wools are nice, but tend to be £££). Not much call for the cream/khaki look in England, so a blue maybe.

You could try v sharp slacks (cream/khaki) + contrast lightweight blazer (something slightly less golf-club than navy). I imagine that'd be acceptable at most hot weddings. M&S do a lot of that sort of thing if you don't mind being a bit middle-aged.

But check yr invitation and consult with friends!

i live in a very hot and humid climate, seersucker is the shit.

my major concerns about non-ss cotton suits are the usual colors one can get them in--the brightish blue feels really bloggy and the khaki makes me think of like an investment banker on safari in a nightclub.

irish linen is nice but it can tip over into baptist preacher real fast

i attended a very sweaty wedding last weekend in pinstripe jacket, colorful chinos, white canvas sneakers and felt respectable.

i just bought a second identical pair of j crew outlet tan shorts b/c good shorts are hard to find

i generally just work around this via wearing light summer pants but imna be in some hot ass places and the only shorts i have that i like are swim trunks w the name of their thai island of origin embroidered on there

I like the gap "lived in" flat front shorts. Pretty basic.

yeah the trunk-type thing you're after is almost always on the longer side from what i've seen.

i have realized that nine inches is the best shorts length for me.

basic flat-front shorts and basic solid tees are the only things I like from gap

yeah football shorts are the best. i called the wash and fold because they had lost mine, but then i found them with my underpants because they thought they were boxers. that is how freeing football shorts are.

i bought some uniqlo shorts but they are too long and i might take them to the jorts tailor to have them rehemmed
