uniqlo lambswool sweaters are $20 and pill like crazy on my belly after 3 wears. i guess i rub my belly a lot. should i:

1) buy one of those absurd sweater shavers
2) just buy loads of uniqlo lambswool sweaters
3) buy a new fancy shetland sweater that allegedly doesn't pill via longer threads
4) thrift store urrrrgh

if you have an electric razor and are careful you can just trim the sweater w/ that ime

ok (Lamp), Monday, 25 November 2013 22:38 (twelve years ago)

the electric shaver things but for heads work well

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 22:48 (twelve years ago)

乒乓, Monday, 25 November 2013 22:48 (twelve years ago)

two weeks pass...

do i buy this or is the tweed too much?

http://www.jpressonline.com/tweed-barracuda-jacket-navy-40-off-original-price-with-promo-code/

think it's definitely too much in brown

http://www.jpressonline.com/tweed-barracuda-jacket-brown-40-off-original-price-with-promo-code/

caek, Friday, 13 December 2013 19:21 (twelve years ago)

that's a pretty low-key tweed, i like the navy too. personally i don't think i would get much use out of a jacket that weight but go for it if you will.

i want his fascist haircut too

caek, Friday, 13 December 2013 19:30 (twelve years ago)

lol didn't see that, yeah pls. don't look like that guy if you buy the jacket.

call all destroyer, Friday, 13 December 2013 19:31 (twelve years ago)

i like the brown

max, Friday, 13 December 2013 19:54 (twelve years ago)

i like this too http://www.jpressonline.com/tweed-shirt-jacket-green-mix/ although $$

caek, Friday, 13 December 2013 19:58 (twelve years ago)

i think the brown is better than the blue

I mean if you're going to buy a tweed jacket, get the one that looks tweedy. the blue one seems more bland to me.

i would agree for a sportcoat, but this is outerwear and i feel like the navy is a little more versatile.

call all destroyer, Friday, 13 December 2013 20:06 (twelve years ago)

i can't wear a light brown tweed jacket because my entire head is pink/orange/light brown and i'd look silly

caek, Friday, 13 December 2013 20:08 (twelve years ago)

Band of Outsiders navy blazer made of a breathable nylon that supposedly you can crunch into a ball and it will not wrinkle

why would you crunch your blazer into a ball?

call all destroyer, Friday, 13 December 2013 20:21 (twelve years ago)

It's for those times you need to go to a business meeting in your suit straight off the plane, then change into the blazer for your harvard club event.

oh right, those times

maybe you can get BLØG as your monogram

caek, Tuesday, 25 February 2014 01:26 (twelve years ago)

Man, I find those bags super prissy-looking. They remind me of when I would take the train home from college and switch at Trenton, and you'd be able to spot the Princeton kids because of their immaculate department-store-catalog-looking clothes.

max, Wednesday, 26 February 2014 17:44 (twelve years ago)

calling that specific look "normcore" is extremely revealing

max, Wednesday, 26 February 2014 17:45 (twelve years ago)

seems i'm guilty of this.. for my birthday i asked my mom to get me "a couple of shirts that look like what you'd buy for dad" from eddie bauer

diamonddave85‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ (diamonddave85), Wednesday, 26 February 2014 17:50 (twelve years ago)

I think this is what I was shooting for in the past when I was trying to nail down seinfeld-as-inspiration

dev hynes is definitely too 'core' for 'norm' though!

chinavision!, Wednesday, 26 February 2014 18:00 (twelve years ago)

also reminds me of Dunham's "kewl dad" in that Girls episode. Maybe she was onto something.

james franco tur(oll)ing test (Hurting 2), Wednesday, 26 February 2014 18:02 (twelve years ago)

Of course like every ironical adoption of "regular amurican" style it has to be done with subtle touches to make sure you don't actually mistake the person for a regular amurican

james franco tur(oll)ing test (Hurting 2), Wednesday, 26 February 2014 18:03 (twelve years ago)

there's def a big casual/new balance sneakers/track pants thing going on w/art people, but I don't think it's the same as a.) what someone like dev is doing or b.) what some of the late 80's weekend dad aesthetic folks are doing

chinavision!, Wednesday, 26 February 2014 18:05 (twelve years ago)

and there's just not a lot of distance between the latter two things and just the fashion revival cycle doing what it does

chinavision!, Wednesday, 26 February 2014 18:06 (twelve years ago)
