My grandma's bathroom had a dusty/deep-rose pink, black and white color scheme. She was not at all a fashionable lady so I think this was just the style at the time they bought the house, which was a late 40's/early 50's bungalow. I remember the bathtub was pink, and the floor tiles were pink and black and white.

I remember it being p awesome but it definitely depends on the shade of pink.

Yeh that's the thing b/c, like I said, it's kind of pinksipid. But now I feel like if I put some art or mirrors on the walls it will not be as obtrusive. I'm glad I brought it up.

Yeah RIP all that country blue, obvs. That's an "Auntie Cheryl" color in my family based on my mom's best friend for a while who stenciled every wall in her house.

lol, the bathroom is weirdly huge, and contains the ONLY closet in the entire apartment. huh?

Bathroom maybe wasn't orig indoors and they converted a bedroom when indoor plumbing came along? I've lived in a house with that sitch, in college. The bathroom was big enough for all 6 of us to be in it at once, we put an easy chair in there for lounging, and it had a closet.

i actually appreciate that there's tile in the kitchen for easy cleaning, but the blue is so... eldery

i just hope the property owners are open to some renovation. i want to replace the cabinet doors or just remove them altogether, i'd rather just have open shelving than a menopausal country cupboards

that kind of horrible grainy oak gives me stomach pains ... it can be so lovely why do they do such horrid things which such horrible grades of oak

As final as it can be! Still keeping fingers crossed because we all know that anything can happen, but we are proceeding. I mean, things are in boxes! (I had a nightmare last night about moving and woke up with shame over how many books I have, but it quickly faded when I thought about getting rid of them.)

moving time! got the keys this weekend and started moving stuff over. that kitchen wallpaper is vinyl which will make for easy removal, thank god.

oh yes! my boyfriend is positively ECSTATIC to have an apartment that gets a lot of light because we've been without indoor plants for years

also i need help picking a wall color that will play nicely off that green tile, you can't tell in that photo but the wall is this hideous nude putty color and it must be stopped

maybe a nice clear celadon or sage green. or would that be too matchy?
