No. It was sometime in the last few months, maybe 6 mos at the most. I tried some searches but so far nada.

i remember talk of that tool but not specifics. a google for it + reviews might yield non-ilx answers anyway (obv not the best answers)

So! I put eyeliner on my waterline!
using MAC graphblack technakohl liner. it looks dramatic! but better than when i line the outside of my lower lid, which i hardly ever do because i feel like it makes my eyes look smaller. but this is working better for me. it actually looks kind of badass.

as i recall now, a friend who was taking a make-up course did line my waterline once. i just didn't pay enough attention.

doing this also makes me wonder why i have been afraid of wearing contacts. that's just putting yr finger near yr eye. this is putting a pointed stick almost on yr eyeball.

I've tried waterline eyeliner several times and yeah it makes me eyes look way smaller.

Waterline makes your eyes look smaller unless you do it on the outer corner of your eye only.

Trick to get bigger looking eyes of course is WHITE eyeliner on the waterline.

I tend to do a lot of dark on the outer edger of my eye, then lots of light colors on the inside of my eye (near the nose).

I tend to... overuse all eye makeup. Last weekend I got carried away and tried to emulate Priscilla Presley's eye makeup from her wedding, but even I couldn't overdo it as much as she did.

yeah, i only did less than half of my waterline (outside edge). i have a white-ish eyeliner that i always forget to use! but it totally works, brightens things up.

They make another pinkish-whitish pencil from your eyes, but I just use the High Brow for my browns and dotted on the inside corners of my eyeballs.

Benefit is so great for enhancement products that look very natural if you happen to be the right skin tone (which I am).

what is the Benefit skintone?

my skintone is seriously right in between pink and yellow! it has confounded the make-up ladies. you know that test where you look at your veins in direct daylight and if they are green your skintone is yellow and if they are blue your skintone is pink? my veins are honestly green-blue/blue-green. eesh.

Caucasian pink, I guess? A lot of their products designed to enhance only come in one color (though they claim that anybody can use it, which is pretty disingenuous IMO), and even their products that come in different tones usually only have two options and don't go very dark.

Wait, their new foundation (Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW hahahahahahaha)goes a lot darker than their other stuff, so that's a step in the right direction.

I am a very cool-toned pale freak. I used to think I had a neutral skin tone, but discovered I am on the cooler end recently. No wonder foundation went orange on me for so many years.

Hey, so I know this ain't the hair thread, but I used John Frieda at-home hair dye last night. I did "lightest cool almond brown" - the result...? EXACT SAME SHADE AS MY NATURAL HAIR COLOR. Guess I played it too safe.

did it at least make it shinier? i often dye my hair close to my reg shade cause it ups the shininess a lot

Otm! I use a strong shimmery white pencil around tear ducts for stage performances and heavily line and swoop the outside edges, because otherwise it looks like you have no face at a distance/under strong lights.

You so should. I see a shimmery grey/blue all over the lid, darker blue in the outer corners, line all the way on the water lines (upper lid and lower) and then a super matte lip stick with lipliner. Maybe CHILI by MAC.

excuse my ignorance but i am genuinely curious (as i currently use the same one for both!) -- what is the difference between the one you use for the inner eye and what you use for the waterline?

The waterline one is more of a off white pencil with a tiny touch of pink while the highlighter side is larger, softer and is more of a bright but natural white/pink color. The highlighter is also good for under eyes.
