I've done that reverse-French mani with gloss black and bronze metallic tips. It was fun.

I would totes contribute to the I Feel Pretty NOT blog. Though maybe more in the joeks category than reviews bc I don't wear a ton of makeup and am not rlly a glamazon like u ladies/gents :)

Yeah I've done one that was a sand color with turquoise tips. I don't like regular french but I love the different plays on it.

No, if I'm being honest I hate writing for a deadline and I don't really like product shopping, I just want to find one things that works forever and keep buying it. But I'll enjoy your cosmetic exploits--every blog needs readers, right?

I'm not saying I *can't* add your blog to any lists I see internally, haha. ;) We are definitely expanding the thing I did the video for into the US market next year!

I am still really bummed they discontinued my fave shade of my favorite liquid liner. I liked it because it was a really dark grey or maybe a soft light black and it didn't look harsh on me. Now the only choices are black or brown which are fine but but the other was PERFECT.

Is it okay to say we can do more than just reviews? Tutorials, musings on beauty stuff in general, explanations of what a product is even for (still thinking of sunny's drawings of how to use highlighter), stash photos (like my stash of BALMSTAINS and JUST BITTEN).

This sounds like my as yet unrealized most favourite beauty blog ever! So much of the stuff I see does seem to be created by and for Sephora Princesses, for lack of a better term.

Hahahaha, busted. I used to do some makeup on the bus when my commute was 1.5 hrs each way but now I do it all at home, except my eyes if running late. I hated myself when I was a public makeupper. :(

The video was all lies! I only set THREE alarms too. And shower in the morning.

I could manage foundation on the train and eyeshadow if I was lazy and just doing one color...forget mascara/eyeliner though, I got blinded too many times

I went off nail polish cold-turkey all summer but yesterday's mani plus looking at polish blogs again is giving me THE BUG.

I am pretty strongly anti this. Touch ups are fine but I always think it's a little funny when people do a full face on the train/bus. I used to see this one lady put on everything except lotion on the bus! She would do foundation, concealer, everything!

I mean don't get me wrong, I have done it but only in a pinch and not in a long time. I get woken up around 6:30 and don't actually leave until 8 so I have plenty of time to get ready at home.

I could never do it on crowded public transport --- the train I took almost always emptied out by the 3rd or 4th inner city station, and I had 20 minutes in an almost empty carriage to work, so it was a lot easier to manage. But I haaaate ppl who do full face makeup on crowded trains. It's kinda gross, somehow?

Also I could never handle knowing that ppl were covertly judging my technique, haha

^^xp this! I used to have a constant fear people were looking at/judging me in all situations, so makeup doing was stressful. I got over it by dying my hair a ridiculous colour and embracing my otherness as a valid reason to be stared at. Going weirder made me feel less self conscious. Yay, psychology!

bus is usually pretty empty. Also I wash then moisturise in the morning then like to let that sit for 30 mins or so before doing make up and I don't have time to do that before leaving. I only do a bit of concealer and powder really, couple of blobs of liquid foundation maybe. I have like an hour commute so want to leave the house asap

Lol I do not touch the bars

Lipstick or whatever is fine but it's the ladies who are just sitting there smearing foundation all over the place and stuff like it's just no thing. I don't want to witness any smearing that early in the am.

I also clip my toenails, nbd

I feel like I take up enough space on public transit just existing, so also moving around to apply makeup would make me feel bad in a very specific way. Also, I have to make funny faces when I put on makeup and I don't want the word to see those faces!

x-post - Empty bus different story too. If there's really nobody there/looking then I would probably do it too.
