i love what she wrote on her old blog for its 5 year anniversary. bless her heart. it makes me wish i had been at all self-aware at her age. all the stuff about trying to document every moment and experiencing real anxiety about it - i wonder how common that is among teen girls. pretty common i'd guess, at least among a certain set

Really want to see it at Steppenwolf. Not just because of her, either -- I've always wanted to see a Lonergan play.

this girl is obviously preternaturally intelligent and wise but having gone to a left-wing summer camp/hung out with a lot of smart children of (essentially) hippie parents from oak park, evanston, etc. i kind of know where she comes from. i remember some girls at summer camp who were sophisticated and articulate beyond my 13- or 14-year-old imaginings. i mean, i was basically still eating my boogers at that point.

who, had no idea I Love Style existed much less that I posted on it. oh well.
