Yeah they were super drying

We are reshooting our staff photos today with a prof photographer. Last night I was frantically looking for new foundation and a sephora clerk assured me this looked good but I just went to the bathroom and I look yellow! I'm kind of freaking out! What do I do? Lots of powder?

I should have known she was crazy when she told me an even darker one looked good... And when she gave me eye makeup in the completely wrong color family with so much crease shadow I looked like a hooker. I didn't buy her eye look but I really needed foundation. I will return it but new I'm freaking out!

Maybe just tell photog you are concerned and ask that he/she double check it when doing photoshoppy stuff.

Maybe not so much on the powder so you don't look chalky.

Thanks...I will alert her for retouching purposes. I'm also managing the shoot so by the time I have my session in gonna be so haggard!!

I had my staff picture taken and the lights were so bright I honestly look like i'm about to cry! I don't want to be all diva-esque so I didn't ask for a re-shoot but man that pic is awful

It turned out looking sort of ok, though sadly I and another of our staff had to reshoot indoors because the outside light was not complimentary to our fair complexions.

I was a little sad bc I wanted my shot to be by the trees. I like trees.

I had the weirdest memory the other day that's not cosmetics related but does anyone remember little gym kits that came with equipment and sweatbands and was called "Get in Shape Girl"?

Sometimes we did aerobics in gym class. I remember one tape our teacher fast forwarded past one exercise because it was pelvic thrusting. I guess that was inappropriate for 12 and 13 year olds. Or at least Mrs. Davis thought so.

lol. I feel like there was a lot of pelvic thrusting in aerobics.

I did a lot of aerobics in the 80s thanks to being a tubby kid with a skinny mom who was sad and confused at how she could have produced a tubby kid, and the kind of pelvic thrusts that require you to lay on your back, then lift your butt into the air and thrust were very popular. Also the dog-peeing-on-the-fire-hydrant move.

I've never been coordinated enough for aerobics--I get out of sync and fall over very quickly. (It's one reason why I was in special ed PE until I got enough credits to get out of PE altogether.)

The hips in the air thrusts were kind of racy, especially when you consider that people really did wear leotards to aerobics classes.

One more bit of personal aerobics trivia: on Jeff and my first date, we watched the US aerobics championships at the Brewhouse Cafe in Atlanta.

That was me in any sort of exercise/dance class ever. It was esp bad if there was a mirror because I could never figure out if I was supposed to watch the mirror or the instructor and wound up looking like the biggest goof. We were always watched very carefully to make sure that we were doing things just like the instructor did.

I spent most of my Special PE time helping the coach/physical therapist with the other kids since I was far and away the most physically capable one in the classes--I was usually the only one that could walk unassisted, forex.

Mum was an aerobics nut. We had Jane Fonda workout albums, the original Jazzercize albums, a vhs tape where you did dog-firehydrant lifts to Counting the Beat by the Swingers....and classes 3 times a week with Berlin's "No More Words" & The Cars "I Know Tonight"
Her instructor had the best leotards, she was amazing.

if i can imagine counting the beat before target destroyed it would be a great workout song for sure

we had denise someone or other who looked so insanely high it was at first a distraction then a much easier solution than watching her video
