Abbott I LOVE those. Let us know how they hold up comfort wise.

The Saltwaters come in tons of colors. They're also really comfortable. Unless you need a lot of arch support cause they don't have any of that. Just a warning.

I think I may get yellow next. I might be a little obsessed but they supposedly last for years so why not.

wolf kabob (ENBB), Sunday, 3 June 2012 17:29 (fourteen years ago)

Yes, the yellow are v cute and summery!

Word of Wisdom Robots (Abbbottt), Sunday, 3 June 2012 18:02 (fourteen years ago)

I like the orange ones, too, but I think I have enough orange sandals (most recent I got were these weird Roald Dahl ones):

Oh I like those too. Yeah, I already have orange sandals.

many xposts to Laurel last month re resoles for boots; I have a pair of Justins that I need to get resoled. There's a cobbler in Sac but I'm reading a lot of mixed reviews and I don't want to take a swing and a miss on a pair of $$ boots. I found these guys online and I think I'm going to try them out -- seems pretty reasonable pricing and they have okay reviews around various forums.

Those $110 clarks I bought aren't anymore comfortable than my $50 madonna shoes >:[

^^if anyone is interested in an investment. thankfully, they're not available in my size.

xp oh no!

horseshoe, Tuesday, 12 June 2012 18:04 (fourteen years ago)

Tbh I think it is more an issue with my feet than the shoes. And the madonna wedges are more comfy than I expected!

just1n3, Tuesday, 12 June 2012 18:07 (fourteen years ago)

agh those are pretty

ordered myself a new pair of Justins today. I have a pair of vintage-looking Western style boots, but I've been hankering for a plain pair of black ones for godknows how long.

really like the cowboy/biker cross-style. hope they look okay on

Oooh I love those. I used to have a similar pair, but knee high.

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Thursday, 2 August 2012 03:41 (thirteen years ago)

I think I am going to buy these. I have been eying them for months and they seem like the perfect work shoes (probably an imaginary concept)

Crabbits, Thursday, 2 August 2012 04:01 (thirteen years ago)

Those Justins are cool. I have a pair similar to them and they make me feel like Nick Cave.

Crabbits, Thursday, 2 August 2012 04:03 (thirteen years ago)

Abbs, I've had those Fluevogs for years and they are a great, everyday shoe. I have worn them so much that I've got to take them in to be resoled and have the insoles replaced. Recommended.

kate78, Thursday, 2 August 2012 06:34 (thirteen years ago)

alright!

Crabbits, Thursday, 2 August 2012 13:17 (thirteen years ago)

It took me a while to break them in but these Blowfish shoes have become my go-to daily shoe (luckily I wear a lot of blue and purple solids). Thank you BarefootTess (sizes 10+):

Help me.

I need some shoes comfortable to go walking around all day while wearing (WHILE I AM IN LONDON) and cute enough to wear with dresses AND pants. ANY IDEAS?

the late great, Thursday, 2 August 2012 17:09 (thirteen years ago)

i will rep for eccos (as always). they're kind of hit or miss (mostly miss), style-wise, but you might find something cute in there.

just1n3, Thursday, 2 August 2012 17:10 (thirteen years ago)

this is where i just defer to brand names -- ime clarks and born are both comfortable enough for all day and have some versatile cute options
eccos are in the same category i just don't have any

nicest bitch of poster (La Lechera), Thursday, 2 August 2012 17:11 (thirteen years ago)

i'd probably wear some kind of oxfords?

nicest bitch of poster (La Lechera), Thursday, 2 August 2012 17:11 (thirteen years ago)

I have a bunch of friends who are mad about Merrells, super comfy apparently

also will rep for naturalizer in this deparment too (aerosoles maybe but their styles are more dressy/heely than casual walking)

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 2 August 2012 17:37 (thirteen years ago)

The polka dotted saddle shoes by Bass's Rachel Antonoff line are on sale at Freepeople for $70.... bought em. CASE CLOSED.

homosexual II, Thursday, 2 August 2012 20:40 (thirteen years ago)

I have 3x pairs of Merrells and they've all worn very weirdly. Like in two months it's OBVIOUS PRONATOR TERRITORY. I guess the heels wear fast? I'm still wearing them years on but I hate them. If you like hating yourself they're good. I would rec Borns any day over them. I have had a pair of Bornh boots for seven years and they're still my favorite.

Crabbits, Friday, 3 August 2012 03:46 (thirteen years ago)

Mands: Get classy oxfords, put insoles in 'em for distance walking, break them in before you go. Done.

check the name, no caps, boom, i'm (Laurel), Friday, 3 August 2012 04:02 (thirteen years ago)

None of this "comfort" shoe nonsense. Maybe that flies at home but not abroad. I don't care what Europeans do, do YOU want to have self-respect in London? You are a fashion icon! The Antonoff designs are pretty great, I've longed for several. I have it on good authority though that the transparent plastic ones are sweat factories (I know, plastic shoes? Who could have guessed?!) but the others are adorbs.

check the name, no caps, boom, i'm (Laurel), Friday, 3 August 2012 04:03 (thirteen years ago)

My Bass loafers which I love are kind of a losing game for me, sadly. They're made for narrower feet than I have so it took ages to break them in, and then they were broke down so fast afterward and now they give me terrible pains to stand in. So sad.

check the name, no caps, boom, i'm (Laurel), Friday, 3 August 2012 04:05 (thirteen years ago)

Laurel, you know me too well. I looked at Born, Merrells, Ecco and Clarks and everything was just too conservative for me. I have a pair of Bass heeled saddle shoes that are super comfy. So I bought these:
