In keeping w/ the thread, the AA has great hair. She and the mean IT lady and I enjoy being very catty about the many terrible, I mean just o_O wig choices our coworkers made. We want to host a very local, What Not to Wear-type show called Wig Intervention in which we swoop into people's cubes and kidnap them and take them wig shopping.

They're coming to get you, (Jenny), Thursday, 3 November 2011 18:08 (fourteen years ago)

I hair is awful right now. So much so that I have it half up which i never do. I still can't decide what to do with the color. Blah. I need a cut.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Thursday, 3 November 2011 18:11 (fourteen years ago)

It just grows so fast - hate that. I seriously need to get it cut like every 6 weeks if I want to keep it looking good. Obv I don't do that so wind up like this.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Thursday, 3 November 2011 18:12 (fourteen years ago)

my hair is awful right now, too. i don't really believe yours is, Erica; but i think going red would be fun if you're still considering that.

horseshoe, Thursday, 3 November 2011 18:12 (fourteen years ago)

mayyyyyybe

I don't know if I have it in me to keep up with it tho. Probably leave it boring and natural for winter. We'll see.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Thursday, 3 November 2011 18:15 (fourteen years ago)

I am getting a cut & dye tomorrow and I am both really looking forward to it but also terrified! My sister sent me this pic and says I should do my hair like this:

http://shorthairstyleswomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Ginnifer-Goodwin.jpg

I am worried it will show off my puffy underchin tho idk

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:18 (fourteen years ago)

tbh tho there's really no way of hiding my puffy underchin, I need to own this shit

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:19 (fourteen years ago)

you kind of resemble ginifer goodwin, abbott! i agree with your sister fwiw.

horseshoe, Friday, 4 November 2011 01:20 (fourteen years ago)

yeah horseshoe otm!

all these crazy short haircuts are making me want to chop all mine off, too

just1n3, Friday, 4 November 2011 01:24 (fourteen years ago)

do not worry about underchin (lol "underchin"), for so many people have the underchin incl me and it is imo less of a big deal than most people think, like, maybe it's an issue in photos but irl, it's like, hey whatever (unless it is goiter-sized, which is more worrisome than anything else)
so what i'm saying is GET CUTE HAIR YES

obliquity of the ecliptic (rrrobyn), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:28 (fourteen years ago)

in my experience people with puffy underchins mostly don't have them but what they have got is puffy vision.

estela, Friday, 4 November 2011 01:30 (fourteen years ago)

Sorry peeps I am defs not trying to play the girl's locker room game of fishing for comples. I think I am going to go for it.

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:31 (fourteen years ago)

when my hair was like that i just had to remember to step up my fashion game or run the risk of looking dowdy (or feeling dowdy, which is just as bad)

man i hate feeling dowdy
it would also be a terrible name for a romcom

yeah I wish the lovably chubby slob was a female archetype like Jack Black or something because hi everyone

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:37 (fourteen years ago)

just speaking about me here, not you
I feel that is the vibe I am rocking lately

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:37 (fourteen years ago)

which I am comfortable with, I love me

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:37 (fourteen years ago)

slob >>> dowdy
dowdy means trying and failing, which is worse than not trying at all

Yasmine Teeth (La Lechera), Friday, 4 November 2011 01:38 (fourteen years ago)

when my hair was like that i just had to remember to step up my fashion game or run the risk of looking dowdy (or feeling dowdy, which is just as bad)

Yes x1000

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Friday, 4 November 2011 02:14 (fourteen years ago)

Huh I feel like my hair is elevating all my clothes! Before my hair was bringing me down to dowdy unless I spent mad time on it.

Yeah but your hair isn't super short like that one. LL and I have spoken about this before. In a lot of ways super short hair can feel like more work than longer hair. I felt like a boy when dressed really casually (jeans/tshirt) so felt like I had to put more effort into looking girly with clothes/accessories etc.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Friday, 4 November 2011 02:59 (fourteen years ago)

Right, and accessorize without looking like the lady with the decoupage clock brooch and matching earrings/pendant.

laurel's hair isn't "short hair" it's just shorter than it was.

Yasmine Teeth (La Lechera), Friday, 4 November 2011 03:25 (fourteen years ago)

I don't often weigh in on haircut advice as I'm so crap at imagining how people would look if they did x or y to their clothes or hair (including self), but I am making an exception to endorse that cut on Abbott.

ljubljana, Friday, 4 November 2011 03:41 (fourteen years ago)

yeah I wish the lovably chubby slob was a female archetype like Jack Black or something because hi everyone

I thought it was, actually. (The "best friend of the female lead" type.)

Christine Green Leafy Dragon Indigo, Friday, 4 November 2011 03:47 (fourteen years ago)

I'm kinda drowning in dowdiness myself.

Christine Green Leafy Dragon Indigo, Friday, 4 November 2011 03:48 (fourteen years ago)

I sort of had similar hair (when I weighed 40 lbs less) and I way owned the scrubby boy look, accessorizing with the double deuce and all – this go round I wld actually make effort (I say now)

I was cutting my own hair then and not styling it, those were times

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Friday, 4 November 2011 04:37 (fourteen years ago)

abbott, your hair looks very awesome!

bene_gesserit, Friday, 4 November 2011 04:39 (fourteen years ago)

oh that is an old picture, sorry, i'm terrible at reading! it is a good cut though, i say go for it.

i'm getting mine cut tomorrow and haven't really thought about it other than vague bob feelings.

bene_gesserit, Friday, 4 November 2011 04:41 (fourteen years ago)

It is the day! Your hair looks so great, bell, even if you just had it trimmed you'd still be in the money.

The guy who cut my hair did not speak English and I had a hard time communicating to him that I did not want a wispy fairy mullet thing at the bottom of my neckline wtf

despite all my rage I am still just a Latter Day Saint (Abbbottt), Saturday, 5 November 2011 02:08 (fourteen years ago)

He also got hair dye on my (one nice new) sweater.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Saturday, 5 November 2011 13:15 (fourteen years ago)

yeah bell, super-chic! welcome back, btw!

horseshoe, Saturday, 5 November 2011 13:21 (fourteen years ago)

i had a moment of clarity while staring in disgust at my hair today where i realized precisely what was wrong with it and cut those parts. i fucked up the back a little like i usually do, but i feel a million times better about it.

horseshoe, Saturday, 5 November 2011 17:39 (fourteen years ago)

YAY!!!

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Saturday, 5 November 2011 17:46 (fourteen years ago)

:D thanks E! filled with contentment tbh

horseshoe, Saturday, 5 November 2011 17:47 (fourteen years ago)

I know what it feels like. That's exactly what I did a couple weeks ago when I snipped off the long bits in front. I felt SO much better afterwards.

Juggy Brottleteen (ENBB), Saturday, 5 November 2011 17:48 (fourteen years ago)

there needs to be a portmanteau word for this feeling. perhaps there is one in German?

horseshoe, Saturday, 5 November 2011 17:50 (fourteen years ago)

the-feeling-that-comes-with-snipping-offensive-hair

horseshoe, Saturday, 5 November 2011 17:51 (fourteen years ago)

that sounds grosser than i meant it to

horseshoe, Saturday, 5 November 2011 17:51 (fourteen years ago)

lol
