I bought the syrup lipstick yesterday. Nice stuff! Also picked up the philosophy microderm stuff mentioned on the skincare thread.

so guys i bought that dior airflash 3 or so weeks ago and ive been carrying it around in my bag still in the box because i cant work out how you spray foundation on your face and not get it in hair/eyes/on clothes etc

also, for the record, i saw your wedding photos on fb just1n3 and you didnt look over made up at all. you looked really good.

although tbh I am kind of scared of cream blush--seems harder to apply than powder!

I was under the impression that cream blush faded quicker than powder. Is that a problem with this brand?

welll. i'm wearing gray pants, slimfit, with a white mickey mouse tshirt i got when i was like, 5. and a gray and white striped vest. i know, it's a little trendy-annoying but whatever, my dad got me the shirt when i was little and i'm wearing it and that's fine. haha

except my date cancelled so now i'm like making myself a vodka soda and listening to hip hop by myself ...

but you will still go out later, right?

* pink israeli coca-cola tshirt with coca cola in hebrew
* blue CELESTE tshirt that was a campaign shirt for the governor of ohio but i always liked it because it was very simple and just said celeste.

please go out in your mickey mouse tshirt!!

my dad had this mickey mouse shirt that they got in disneyland when my mom was pregnant with my older sister - there's a pic of her with large belly wearing it! he used to wear it to work on the cars, and i found it and loved it and my mom would get so mad at me for wearing it because it was old and oil-stained so i would sneak it into my backpack and put it on when i got to school lol.

i got a mani/pedi after leaving work late and now i am having a glass of wine. i am in love with this color right now! opi 'dutch tulips' is the shade. at first i was gonna go neutral on the hands but after he put that shade on my toes i had to have it on hands, too!

tomorrow is a big night (my husband's not-as-fancy-as-it-sounds movie premiere in chicago) so i am chillin at home ponytailed in a grey cardi and green lounge pants atm. we just finished watching "the room" which was appalling.

i love that pink tshirt with all my heart. i got it when i was 9 and wore it (perhaps ill advisedly) throughout my 20s.

also i am wearing this kelly green shirt with a lace/embroidered appliqué that i got at old navy of all places (i am not supposed to buy old navy clothes any more but i was there w/ sister last week and it was like $4.99 on sale). i am in love w/ kelly green but i can never find good pieces.

i will note that the tshirt still technically fits, but it's a little busty russell for me to wear on a regular basis.

my lounge pants are kelly green. i'm a little ashamed of them actually. i wear them to walk the dog every. single. morning.

no shame. i wear purple velour pants to hang out in the mornings.

i'm actually pretty excited about wearing heels and a new dress tomorrow. less excited about seeing the movie for the umpteenth time, but that's ok. i'll be wearing a new dress!

yea no shame, every girl's gotta have her lounge pants. mine are stripey.

it's a documentary series at the siskel film center. there's a q&a and everything, but mostly i just want to wear sparkly eyeshadow, heels, and maybe do something different with my hair. ooh, or dangly earrings. funny, my parents went to israel in 1984 and i got that pink tshirt and these earrings that i still love to wear. gotta send a photo to moms.

yay new dress! it seems like a pain to have to buy new dresses and stuff for work things but actually the fact that i get to do events and play dress up sometimes yet NOT be in devo is really exciting to me (sorry, surm!).

girl, you better work tomorrow! i am psyched for you! maybe it's your husband's moment, but i would totally use it as an excuse to be belle of the ball.

oh also i forgot: after pedi i went in ross and got some pretty awesome sandals for 11.99!

Was looking for blush to match my old run-out no-longer-avail Prescriptives one for ages. Finally tried Orgasm, which looked like the wrong colour completely - but it worked! And not very sparkly once on.

Just realized that I never posted about Penny Lane. I actually wound up returning it. It was way too brown on me and made me look dirty rather than flushed. Wound up getting a Tarte stick blush thing but I'm undecided yet as to whether I really like it so am back to using Orgasm again in the meantime.

i finally got orgasm too when I went into sephora to pick up my birthday freebies. first time its actually been in stock. And yeah, its pretty fantastic.

Sephora has an amazing return policy. You can return anything you buy (in store or online) for pretty much any reason with a receipt and yeah, "the color just wasn't right" counts as one of those reasons. You can even return things that you don't have the receipt for but just as an exchange. They won't refund your money without one.

they even exchanged a lip gloss for me that was months old because the seal on the tube came open (and got all over my coat pocket ew).

You definitely use it as a blush and it's not really very much like that color. The closet drugstore brand dupe for Orgasm - and it's actually really really close - is Milani blush in "luminous".

kind of embarrassed that i was wearing zero makeup when i met enbb tbh

enbb is so cuet that I'd probably be done up like a drag queen if we ever met.

So who wears make-up every day? The only time I won't wear make-up is if I'm staying in all day or going only as far as the launderette on my block, or for a run round the block. For anything else, the basics are

-YLS Touche Eclat for dark rings in eye sockets
-Clinique liquid foundation to blend out any red areas, maybe some concealer to cover zits
-Givenchy perfect kohl liner on upper lid
-Mascara of some kind (Chanel Inimitable at the moment)
-quick swipe of powder to hide shininess caused by moisturiser
-maybe some natural ish eye shadow
- dark eyebrow pencil when I was dying my hair dark

Never really use blush even tho I'm pale, and lipstick feels weird on.
When I was at uni I was amazed that most other girls on my course didn't seem to wear make-up every day - maybe they just wore really natural looking shades, although I don't think I look 'made-up' particularly. But I look *really* washed out without it, esp in the eyes.

oh i keep meaning to try that touche eclat. so many people swear by it.
i usually wear makeup unless i am just running errands or doing something athletic. if i show up to work/social things without makeup, people tell me i look "tired" (aka, like shit).
