pierre hardy shoes are fully awesome. i want to tie satin boxes to all my shoes now.
gun shoes, as much as i dislike guns, are freakin great - you could lay on a chaise-lounge and pretend to shoot people! i want to do this! adult cops and robbers

what do you ladies think of these Alaia heels:
http://www.shoewawa.com/azzedine%20alaia%20heels%20ankle.jpg

i think they're alright, but i think they were one of the most photographed shoes this past paris season. i got at least 4 different women in them (editors of i-D, vogue nippon, tank magazine, and tinsley mortimer..)

also, theyre $1000

phil-two, Saturday, 25 October 2008 16:00 (seventeen years ago)

those are beautiful.

horseshoe, Saturday, 25 October 2008 17:02 (seventeen years ago)

i actually like them. not the usual style i go for, though (ha - "go for." more like "admire from afar").

lauren, Saturday, 25 October 2008 17:10 (seventeen years ago)

Agree and agree: beautiful AND, if you can get past the heel height, very wearable, being black and unembellished except by the pos/neg contrast of the straps.

Also they look like they would cradle your instep and ankles in glove-soft leather. Win!

very nice
alaia can do no wrong it seems

claudia schefter (daria-g), Monday, 27 October 2008 14:32 (seventeen years ago)

AHAHA so the girls are allowing themselves to be peeped now?

No, Alaia does no wrong. Am mad for the molded YSL shoe boot thing and do not have £700 for anything but a new computer.

So imagine my shock and awe when visiting the charity shop on the way back from my appt. and VALENTINO COUTURE CROC-SKIN SHOE-BOOTS WITH 5' STILETTO in BLACK. FOUR BRITISH POUNDS.

These are totally taxi shoes and I'm looking fwd to basic stiletto training seeing as I've been in ballet flats all summer.

AHAHA so the girls are allowing themselves to be peeped now?

haha! yeah, i got a good one of E, but she was cagey at first then I dropped YOUR name and she was like OHHH YEAH, ok go on then. Haha, thanks for that! Then I kept seeing her at parties at like 4am and she was much nicer. Also I was drunk and confessed that I have a little crush on, um, charlie. ha ha ha ha ha. so cute...

F, on the other hand, denied me photolove a couple times, but I did manage to get one of her when I piggy backed along when a more 'famous' streetsnapper was photographing her.

phil-two, Monday, 27 October 2008 20:27 (seventeen years ago)

here's the full photo of the lady in the pierry hardy satin box shoes:

oh, with brian reyes dress

phil-two, Monday, 27 October 2008 20:28 (seventeen years ago)

i chased her for half a block to get this photo. lucky she was in those heels and couldn't move very fast

wtf, with the blatant ripoff, good lord.

claudia schefter (daria-g), Tuesday, 28 October 2008 01:57 (seventeen years ago)

i feel like i have been seeing a lot of that shoe lately!

highly theoretical, of course. (tehresa), Tuesday, 28 October 2008 02:37 (seventeen years ago)

whoa srsly! but not surprising
i kinda like that it's called 'oh deer' - 4 1/2 inch heel! i was wearing 3 1/2 inch heels at a party a couple wkends ago and was leaning down to get something from a side-table and my friend exclaimed "haha you look like a deer!" i wasn't wobbling, totally fine.

yeah i am on boothunt now!

highly theoretical, of course. (tehresa), Tuesday, 28 October 2008 03:01 (seventeen years ago)

i'm watching a pair of used AD motorcycle boots on ebay. afraid the price is going to skyrocket at the last minute, though.

lauren, Tuesday, 28 October 2008 17:09 (seventeen years ago)

i bought a pair of justin roper boots on ebay for $6.99
love

La Lechera, Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:29 (seventeen years ago)

to clarify: justin is manufacturer, roper is type of boot (not like mr. roper)

La Lechera, Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:30 (seventeen years ago)

ooh i love those!!!!!

i am not an idle hunter-gatherer, i am a scientist (rrrobyn), Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

aren't they great? i have another pair of justin boots and they are so solidly made, i decided to look for others. new they're like $133, but there are a lot of them on ebay. they look just like these but without the fringe

La Lechera, Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:33 (seventeen years ago)

there is a shoe-repair/maker place near my work that has all these awesome boots in teh window but i feel like they've had all these awesome boots in the window since 1974... but whatever, i am going to go in and see what happens and if thye have justin boots or similar. i really want a pair of dark grey boots. which i know is not something ya find everyday.

i am not an idle hunter-gatherer, i am a scientist (rrrobyn), Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:38 (seventeen years ago)

for the record, i saw red, black, green, turquoise, navy, white and pearl in that same "roper" style on ebay...
they won't all be the right size, color, or price, but you're sure to find something.

i found the red ones at a goodwill in ohio like 5 years ago, and there was a white pair too. they were both brand new, unworn, in my size. for the last 5 years i have regretted not buying the white ones. they were the ones that got away. i even called back to ask my mom to buy them like a day later and they were gone ;_;

La Lechera, Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:42 (seventeen years ago)

confession: i have never bought anything off ebay o_O

i am not an idle hunter-gatherer, i am a scientist (rrrobyn), Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:43 (seventeen years ago)

never too late!

La Lechera, Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:45 (seventeen years ago)

i don't know why i'm so averse to it - it's not like i'm afraid of the internet - weird

looking at justin site
lol they have a boot called "tekno crepe"

i am not an idle hunter-gatherer, i am a scientist (rrrobyn), Tuesday, 28 October 2008 21:47 (seventeen years ago)

i usually just buy things off ebay that are available via "buy it now" because the auctions are too stressful for me. it's just like buying anything else online that way.

baaderonixx, Wednesday, 29 October 2008 11:53 (seventeen years ago)

ooof - those AD boots ended up going for like $300. about one-sixth of the retail price, but still. they were definitely in "used" condition.

lauren, Wednesday, 29 October 2008 13:57 (seventeen years ago)

oh wow those pop art shoes are ADORABLE. I wish they came with a speech bubble attached, Lichtenstein style.

skeletal lexing (Finefinemusic), Wednesday, 29 October 2008 18:49 (seventeen years ago)

Those Pumas are excelllent.

Bristol Meth (suzy), Wednesday, 29 October 2008 20:53 (seventeen years ago)

Aren't they? I need to get them asap. Not sure where to look for them tho. Not very familiar with the wolrd of limited edition trainers

baaderonixx, Thursday, 30 October 2008 08:45 (seventeen years ago)

I'm finding it really hard to get kickass vegan kicks. I just got a pair of these:

i bid on a pair of the justin lacers on ebay, but i wasn't near a computer when the auction ended and thus no boots for me. i'm kind of glad i lost, though - with shipping and then new half-soles, i'd barely be saving any money versus the cost of a new pair.

lauren, Friday, 31 October 2008 13:43 (seventeen years ago)

Whoah I am kind of in lust with the kiltie lacer.

Vampire romances depend on me (Laurel), Friday, 31 October 2008 13:50 (seventeen years ago)

yeah, that's what i've got my eye on.

lauren, Friday, 31 October 2008 13:51 (seventeen years ago)

We'll just have to coordinate so as not to wear them to the same gatherings. Altho Ally and I kind of regularly show up in same/similar boots, too, so...

Vampire romances depend on me (Laurel), Friday, 31 October 2008 14:04 (seventeen years ago)

i am glad the justin boots are a hit on the shoe thread! still haven't received my orders in the mail but SOMETHING should come soon, i should think.

i wore the red ones to work today. am expecting black ones in the mail. (also ebay)

i'm telling you guys, they are like the perfect boots. solid, durable and pretty.

La Lechera, Friday, 31 October 2008 19:47 (seventeen years ago)

............and extremely tuff, for something pretty.

Vampire romances depend on me (Laurel), Friday, 31 October 2008 19:53 (seventeen years ago)

i am totally gonna buy these:
http://www.justinboots.com/boots/Womens_Western_Performance.html?424fccf8=L5151
they're like the boots i'm wearing right now except not totally scuffed up and they're freakin waterproof! sweet. thank you for kindling this love of justin boots, guys

ok, barf

czn (cozwn), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 04:10 (seventeen years ago)

ok, fuck that. let's think up more ways to make it so that women can barely even walk, all in the name of fashion. what century is this again?

T-PALIN (daria-g), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 17:41 (seventeen years ago)

i hear you, but how many of those will actually be produced? and worn rather than kept as a fashion trophy?

lauren, Tuesday, 4 November 2008 17:59 (seventeen years ago)

i mean, i don't think that's going to trickle down to mainstream mass production.

lauren, Tuesday, 4 November 2008 18:00 (seventeen years ago)

nah, steve madden isn't going to knockoff those shoes, surely. i'm starting to get pissed at all the ridiculously high and painful and unwearable shoes, season after season lately they seem to be getting worse, plus the models getting more and more deathly ill (looking at pix of the 90's skinny models following kate moss, they look healthy now!).. i don't know. i LOVE fashion but it's like, f*** you miuccia prada, all sorts of interesting theoretical things to say about women and their clothes, and your shows are all incredibly, miserably sickly thin white women in 6 inch platform heels that they can barely walk up and down the runway in! WTF. enough. they look TERRIBLE.

T-PALIN (daria-g), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 19:21 (seventeen years ago)

i agree; it's gross.
