Shephen Singleton (Vice Versa, ABC) DJ set

Ik ben bevriend met Stephen Singleton (voormalig Vice Versa, ABC en Bleep & Booster). Stephen heeft zojuist enkele succesvolle DJ sets in Engeland gedaan met een op de jaren 70 en 80 geinspireerde sets. Deze DJ sets werden georganiseerd om de DVD Made In Sheffield (www.sheffieldvision.com) te promoten. Stephen wil nu enkele DJ sets in Nederland doen. Vraag is of er geschikte jaren tachtig clubs/nights zijn? Weet iemand het antwoord??? Beknopte biografie en korte set list beneden.

Stephen Singleton was an original member of Vice Versa and ABC. In 1978 he formed Vice Versa, Sheffield contemporary to the original Human League and Clock DVA. In 1981 he formed ABC and created 80s essential record The Lexicon Of Love. After UK top 10 album Beauty Stab he left the band. He did a number of remix, dj and production jobs. In the early 90s he made furore again, first of all by making electonic dance records with Bleep & Booster. Then he did some remixes, for East 17 and Suns Of Arqa amongst others. In 2004 the film Made In Sheffield was released. Stephen was highly involved and celebrated with two hip dj sets, at London's Gossip Club and at The Casbah in hometown Sheffield. In 2004 he will do a string of dj sets, in England and Europe.

Set list consists of... mainly 70's and 80's music, ABC, Kraftwerk, Human League, David Bowie, Roxy Music, Japan, Simple Minds, Sheffield electro plus all the stuff that influenced ABC and Vice Versa.
