J0rdan S., Friday, 7 June 2013 15:48 (six years ago) link

the "GUDDA! WAKA! FLOCKA! HEY!" part in bricksquad is my favorite moment of the album, but it might be slightly beat by hard in da paint cuz i love the hi-hat rolls on it so much

diamonddave85, Friday, 7 June 2013 16:09 (six years ago) link

also "when my little brother died i said 'fuck school'" is hella poignant

diamonddave85, Friday, 7 June 2013 16:10 (six years ago) link

that's my favorite line on the album too

Treeship, Friday, 7 June 2013 16:21 (six years ago) link

why they put g-baby face on a t-shirt

thot police (fadanuf4erybody), Saturday, 8 June 2013 02:23 (six years ago) link

could probably do a side poll on who's the most useless guest rapper on here fwiw (although they all blend into this album well so "useless" is kinda harsh)

thot police (fadanuf4erybody), Saturday, 8 June 2013 02:26 (six years ago) link

think i would vote whoever does the second verse on the album vers of o lets do it

flopson, Saturday, 8 June 2013 23:16 (six years ago) link

it's a tough road between that dude and Uncle Murda who is maybe the most useless rapper in the world minus his already-legendary "I Hit it First" verse

thot police (fadanuf4erybody), Sunday, 9 June 2013 00:04 (six years ago) link

Gtfo uncle murda's verse is completely classic on live by the gun

rap steve gadd (D-40), Sunday, 9 June 2013 01:27 (six years ago) link

last line of that verse is "these niggas deserve to die/like omar's gay ass from the wire"

flopson, Sunday, 9 June 2013 01:37 (six years ago) link

i stand corrected

thot police (fadanuf4erybody), Sunday, 9 June 2013 05:02 (six years ago) link

this album wouldn't be the same without uncle murda and all the other relatively unknown rappers who make cameos. poor slim dunkin

Treeship, Sunday, 9 June 2013 05:29 (six years ago) link

that i totally agree with tbf, if there were "name" guests on here it'd be way less of the experience it is

thot police (fadanuf4erybody), Sunday, 9 June 2013 05:34 (six years ago) link

last line of that verse is "these niggas deserve to die/like omar's gay ass from the wire"

k3vin k., Sunday, 9 June 2013 08:30 (six years ago) link

answer is "grove street" btw but this album is obv super solid all the way through

obv rap is full of bad stuff but there's something particlularly hate-crimey about that line, it's pretty undeniably cringeworthy

k3vin k., Sunday, 9 June 2013 09:25 (six years ago) link

you are supposed to cry when omar dies not think he deserved it.

whos next with plex (prettylikealaindelon), Sunday, 9 June 2013 09:56 (six years ago) link

you seriously defending that line d40g??

give life back to usic (The Reverend), Monday, 10 June 2013 03:56 (six years ago) link

it's sort of a weird thing to single out

J0rdan S., Monday, 10 June 2013 04:00 (six years ago) link

"don't get a 360, that shit ain't 100" is the best line on the album

een, Monday, 10 June 2013 04:37 (six years ago) link

that was just the only thing i remembered about the verse, i thought that was maybe the reason fadanuf didn't like it but apparently it changed his mind about it? homophobia aside i think it's pretty reasonable that a drug dealer (or at least rapper impersonating a drug dealer) would think that a fictional character who robs drug dealers deserved to die

flopson, Monday, 10 June 2013 21:36 (six years ago) link

also a snitch

rap steve gadd (D-40), Monday, 10 June 2013 23:49 (six years ago) link

Side note: his name is "uncle murda"

rap steve gadd (D-40), Tuesday, 11 June 2013 00:46 (six years ago) link

lol @ u contraristanning, it's obviously a standout line and it's a clunker at that, just admit it's a lame line no one will call u a racist

k3vin k., Tuesday, 11 June 2013 01:00 (six years ago) link

"i thought that was maybe the reason fadanuf didn't like it but apparently it changed his mind about it?"

nah you right that's mainly what i don't like about it, that line is simultaneously super memorable and super cringey
