What are the great 10-inch LPs?

That was the standard size for pop LPs from the first batch of them produced in 1948 or '49 till about 1955. I'm mainly interested in the ones from this time frame, not the later ones from the new wave era.

Some of the best I've heard:

Yma Sumac, Voice of the Xtabay (1950)
Eartha Kitt, That Bad Eartha (1953)
Frank Sinatra, Songs for Young Lovers (1954)

Sometimes they get confused with the albums (actual albums) of multiple 78s that were also common in those days. I assume a lot of titles came out in both formats contemporaneously.

Was In the Pineys by Strapping Fieldhands a 10"? I seem to recall it was. Also I have a Johnny Thunders LP So Alone which is a 10" which is great. Those two all I can remember right now.

Oh sorry i didn't read the brief properly about mainly wanting examples from the 50's. Apologies.

For a few years the majority of jazz albums were issued in 10 inch format, often with a shortened tracklisting. I think this was mostly for record clubs. I know my pal has shelves and shelves of them.

Birth of the Cool is a good one. Les Baxter, Le Sacre du Sauvage is another classic... the foundation of "exotica."
