There wasn't an E-40 thread

So I started one. Lightweight Jammin being on the ilx 2011 tracks poll made me seek out last year's two lps and currently half way through Day Shift and its blowing me away.

So yeah, talk about E-40 and let me know what classic albums/tracks to check out.

classic 90's mobb sound = in a major way
modern 00's rick rock sound = grit & grind

+ everything before, in between & after.

such a great & massive discography

40 is a certified legend throughout the central coast. I had no idea that he was so overlooked until I went to college and no one knew who he was, even the heads. His 90s output is quality. This is my second post on ilxor so hopefully these embedded youtubes work.

yeah, i vehemently disagree of course
I'm just as happy with Bamboo, Got That Line, Art of Story Tellin Pt II, and Don't Shoot the Messenger (more for the rap than the beat) from the last trilogy and that's just the other solo tracks that come to mind
Yup's great tho
