nah Pistols did a lot of great pop stuff but "Anarchy" is the boringest and least of it

absinthe of malithe (Noodle Vague), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:00 (thirteen years ago) link

Yeah, my favorite BB song hands down.

Señor Mexico (Johnny Fever), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:00 (thirteen years ago) link

Worthy placement for the Boys.

Spectrist, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:00 (thirteen years ago) link

wd've voted "God Only Knows" over "Good Vibes"

absinthe of malithe (Noodle Vague), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:00 (thirteen years ago) link

I have not heard a single Pistols song that I haven't wanted to shut off 15 seconds into it

Yeezy reupholstered my pussy (DJP), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:00 (thirteen years ago) link

Alone Again Or and You Set The Scene probably split the Love vote enough so neither will place

xxxxxp

peter in montreal, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:01 (thirteen years ago) link

Its just a shame it didn't cause a "theremin craze" where kids were rushing out to buy them.

the structuralist constructions of (Viceroy), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:01 (thirteen years ago) link

like I said, I get why they're important and even necessary to the creation of a bunch of music I actually DO like, but I have zero time for them

Yeezy reupholstered my pussy (DJP), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:01 (thirteen years ago) link

have you tried "Who Killed Bambi?" Dan? Could be your breakthru moment.

absinthe of malithe (Noodle Vague), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:01 (thirteen years ago) link

Were any of the top ten recorded near a coal mine? If not, it's fucking bullshit man!!!!!!

You kids don't like the Sex Pistols? What's the matter with you punks?

kornrulez6969, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:02 (thirteen years ago) link

The Langley Schools version of Good Vibrations is even better.

seandalai, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:02 (thirteen years ago) link

was never (and still am not) a big beach boys fan, but that release of them just fucking around in the studio with good vibrations is totally riveting

mookieproof, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:02 (thirteen years ago) link

being a punk stopped being punk in 1978 you fule

absinthe of malithe (Noodle Vague), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:02 (thirteen years ago) link

i really wanted to see 'you set the scene', 'venus in furs' and 'unsatisfied' place.

what about 'respect'? has that got a chance?

charlie h, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:03 (thirteen years ago) link

Probably earlier. Once it had a name, it was dead. xp

Señor Mexico (Johnny Fever), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:03 (thirteen years ago) link

Q: You kids don't like the Sex Pistols? What's the matter with you punks?

A: the thing about The Sex Pistols is that they were a massively important, seminal band that were actually kind of terrible and unlistenable

the structuralist constructions of (Viceroy), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:04 (thirteen years ago) link

have you tried "Who Killed Bambi?" Dan? Could be your breakthru moment.

I am listening to it now

okay I made it 51 seconds

Yeezy reupholstered my pussy (DJP), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:04 (thirteen years ago) link

I have the knack that the #1 will be something completely irrelevant but innofensive enough that it might have slipped through many ballots unintentionally.

Moka, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:05 (thirteen years ago) link

You poseurs probably voted for the commercial, boring mainstream Good Vibrations. Everybody knows that the best version is the Smiley Smile outtake.

kornrulez6969, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:05 (thirteen years ago) link

xpost haha like More than a Feeling or something? Private Eyes?

the structuralist constructions of (Viceroy), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:05 (thirteen years ago) link

20/20 or bust

EIEIoOoOO (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:06 (thirteen years ago) link

omg "Private Eyes" as the #1 song of the decade would be the funniest thing ever

Yeezy reupholstered my pussy (DJP), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:06 (thirteen years ago) link

"Yakety Sax" for the win! (Seriously, it'd be awesome if that was #1.)

Tuomas, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:07 (thirteen years ago) link

Think it'll be Le Freak, but really haven't a fog what's coming up.

State Attorney Foxhart Cubycheck (Billy Dods), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:07 (thirteen years ago) link

yeah, knack isn't really the right word there. inkling maybe?

charlie h, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:07 (thirteen years ago) link

The only shoo in I can think of is Be My Baby.

Spectrist, Friday, 3 December 2010 20:07 (thirteen years ago) link

I don't get #8. I mean I get it, but I don't get why it's so revered. XPLAIN IT TO ME VOTERS.

Señor Mexico (Johnny Fever), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:08 (thirteen years ago) link

absinthe of malithe (Noodle Vague), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:10 (thirteen years ago) link

Torn Curtain is better tho

gospermaban sim gishel (acoleuthic), Friday, 3 December 2010 20:10 (thirteen years ago) link

I've tried for nigh on 20 years to break into Marquee Moon (and Adventure, and had the most success with the s/t 1992 album), but I still find Television to be absolutely snoozable. And I love guitars!!
