What song would you play first in your new home?

So, I'm moving into a new place soon. I'm sure one of the first things unpacked will be my CDs, but I've been stumped recently trying to think about what I'd want to play first. Possible contenders:

Exile on Main St, Rolling Stones- because it starts with Rocks Off
Back in Black, ACDC - seems like it might be a good album to listen to after hours of lugging boxes around
Heaven or Las Vegas, Cocteau Twins - after hours of packing & toting around boxes I'm likely to just collapse on the floor anyway

What would you play first in your new home? Have you ever planned ahead new music for it?

Either:

1) Pet Sounds, because it starts with "Wouldn\'t It Be Nice" which ties in quite nicely to the \'i finally have a place of my own\' thing; or

2) The Ramones, because it\'s loud and fun and you can put it on in twenty years with lots of nice associations. My kids are going to grow up with the Ramones the way I grew up with The Beatles, because I am a tyrant at heart...

Dammit I can't remember what it was!
If I'd thought it through it would probably have been New Order's 'True Faith' - not only because it always makes me feel +ve and energised, but because of that line: 'I used to think that the day would never come' - having pined for my own place for over 15 years....

Burt Bacharach's "A House is Not a Home", followed by Tom Waits' "House Where Nobody Lives", "Cottage for Sale" (the Mel Torme version, maybe...) and Elton John's "Live Lies Bleeding". At that point, things can only get better.

When I moved into university, I believe the first thing to get placed on the ol' wheels of steel (or shitty beaten up cheap hi-fi) would have been "Pyromaniax!" by the Arsonists, mainly because it's a song I never hear unless I'm at home, so it's got some good vibes off it. Plus the howling monkey bit at the start freaked the fuck out of my floormates.

Stereo's always the first thing I unpack - in the halls of residence I played The Fall's New Big Prinz, which I incidentally uploaded this morning - HERE.
And in my most recent house I knocked on the neighbour's door to borrow a CD player, they lent my their daughter's separates so I could get the Daft Punk's first album playing.

Whenever I move into a new place, I play The Innocents by Erasure. It's so bright and poppy it gets me to start unpacking things and putting them away.

Folky cover record alert: once upon a time I put on Yo La Tengo's Fakebook while unpacking, and I've stuck with it ever since -- there's something about its airy and very acoustic production that not only seems appropriate to an empty room, but also actively sounds better in one. (This only works with hardwood floors, obviously.)

Maybe some of Sun Ra's more severe music ("Next Stop Mars?") to excorcise the demons.

I really can't make those decisions ahead of time though, and I try not to make a big deal out of it, but I think I usually do in a way.

An aside: I look forward to buying a house some day, when I will hopefully be free of other people's music imposed on me, and meanwhile will be able to turn the bass on my stereo up much louder than it is now, and listen to some free jazz things at top volume, which seems to be how some of them should be played, without having to worry about bothering my neighbor or being thought pretentious, etc. Or listening to Loggins and Messina without wondering if my neighbor's think I'm a wimp. Even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with you honey. . . But why should I care what my neighbors think about the music I listen to (aside from whether it is bothering them)?

I just moved into my new place and although I didn't think about it ahead of time the first thing I played was the best of Ruth Brown. I like to have something I can really let loose and sing to when I'm doing chore type things.

I used to always play United Future Organizations's "Morning" (first track off one of the albums) when I moved in somewhere. It has an unusual vibe. Very mellow, sleepy and laid-back but in a getting up, optimistic kind of way, rather than a late nite, tired way.
