Back in high school, a friend of mine and I once tried to come up with the most boring band name possible - a name that said nothing about what kind of music the group in question might play, and did as little as possible to entice a potential listener. The name we settled on was Dave & the Boys.
What's the most boring band name (for a nonexistent band - just typing "Coldplay" only proves how boring you are) you can imagine?

I always thought Pavement was a boring and pretty crappy name, but I have it on good authority that that's been taken too.

tbh this reminds me that I've always struggled to come up with an apt comparison to "Car Seat Headrest". It's such a perfectly maximized trio of mundane, arbitrary and clunky. The perfect worst band name ever. Like naming your band Bottom Left Cabinet Hinge or something else from a random page of a product manual.
