The members of the Wu-Tang clan rapped under several personae, each with their own mythology and influences. Ol' Dirty Bastard takes his stage name from the 1980 Meng-Hwa Ho film Mad Mad Kung Fu (Guai zhao ruan pi she, also known as Ol' Dirty Kung Fu or Ol' Dirty and the Bastard).
