I feel that way about the whole album: it's just below great or near great

it's too soon for me, i've been enraptured by bits of it but i haven't been compelled to loop it, but i haven't especially been in that sort of mood

oui & paradise are both bottom third of the album imo

"Oui" is the most "Late Nights The Mixtape" of all the songs on here

i thought late nights the mixtape was bad at the time but idk

Most of his full length projects have underwhelmed me at first—they seemed either uneven or somehow incomplete—but they've all had a lot of staying power so I suspect this will too

Just listened to this for the first time. Paradise is so beautiful. It could well replace Another Song as my favourite song of his.

jeremih is a great example of an artist for whom people know his songs but have no idea who he is

my bf and I had to drive home late at night from Pennsylvania and we were listening to this album and "paradise" was playing as we pulled up, parked in our garage and came home and it was such a smoochy moment somehow

who does this even apply to? i was one (relatively few) vocal fans of the first album, and i have mixed feelings about the tape but "773 Love" is a great song, i wish it had gotten on the radio.

i wasn't talking about sales, i was referring to the romanticisation and elevation of an artist on to a bit of a weird pedestal. i mean, that's not a bad thing, i was part of cassie fan club, if you hear it in the music you hear it in the music, but it shouldn't be surprising when others aren't quite as enraptured by the minutiae of their breathing

so you're just talking about...music fandom? interest in a particular artist? why the hell is Captain Hyperbole telling anyone else to tamper down the enthusiasm?

i'm not? i'm describing the nature of the enthusiasm as similar to that for cassie circa 2007

Bought the album. I like it a tiny bit more each time I play it, definitely a grower.

this feels hit and miss after several listens but the hits are quite good. i generally need more time with jeremih to warm, willing to be patient.

i'm not sure how i missed the remix of "planes" with chance but this is an instant replacement

the beat's completely different. it's kind of annoying that there's no version of the original beat w/ Chance on it, since that was presumably what existed before Cole replaced Chance on the song.

there are some really great tracks on this album and it feels of a piece. i still might prefer the Shlohmo EP that no one talks about though.

"pass dat" is great and should be huge

any verdicts on his live show? He is in my city tomorrow but I have nobody who wants to go with me, in two minds about whether it's worth going solo.

Def Jam has a knack for fucking up anything Jeremih-related but i do hope they capitalize on "Pass Dat." The Weeknd and Young Thug already did versions of it, they could use either/both of those for an official remix that would be huge but i think the song could do really well on its own too.

This album has grown on me exactly as I hoped.

It's hard to make songs this sticky that still have the restraint to reveal themselves slowly over time.

God nothing saps the energy from a track like Wiz Khalifa. It's incredible, really.

I'm going to Scandinavia in a couple weeks so I am very excited to reach the middle stretch of this tape
