I played Âme for my grandma and she loved it. What else might she like?

At the moment I've got Chateau Flight, Jazzanova and maybe the Black Science Orchestra. Who would you add to the mix?

I would love this to be Balandine but I imagine he's talking about Rej?

I actually played their self-titled album. I had been listening to it in the car and it was still on when I gave her a ride home.

moonship in the house

I hadn't heard the album until this year and I love it. A bit more conventional than their recent stuff but well composed and infinitely detailed. I hope they put out another album next year or something, one with "Enoi" and "Baladine" on it.

I kinda wish KDJ was my grandma, just so I could steal copies of "Silentintroduction" from his stash to sell for absurd prices. Why must so many house/techno artists let their most crucial material go out of print?

littlewhiteearbuds, Tuesday, 11 September 2007 17:29 (sixteen years ago) link

KDJ is my serious answer to your question. also larry heard, theo parrish, andres, soulphiction, the idjut boys and faze action.

if she's down with that selection then basically your grandma can be my new girlfriend

moonship journey to baja, Tuesday, 11 September 2007 18:51 (sixteen years ago) link

Hm, I bet she would like Faze Action, didn't think of them. Soulphiction looks interesting as well.

Hm, I:Cube would probably work pretty well here too.
