I still wanna know what the sixteen dances are

I know that the "camel walk" was a real dance (I've heard the original "Camel Walk" single on local radio) and I'm pretty damn sure what the "dirty dog" is. How do you do the other ones (some of which Fred Schneider supposedly made up, some not)? What were the other eight dances that were never mentioned on the LP version of "Dance This Mess Around"? And how the fuck do you do the frug?

o shit - emily to thread hardcore! she almost gave me a bronchial attack a couple of weeks back doing all sixteen dances (to be fair: she's not no limburger, i think she just kicked up too much dust from underneath dude's rug).

the frug is easy, it's the alternating fist-at-eye-level/other-fist-at-hip while nodding and turning head thing, isn't it?

"Dance This Mess Around" at any rate maybe the greatest song of all time I think

Hey, "52 Girls" only identifies 24 of the girls!
So, chances are the other 28 unidentified girls know what the 8 unidentified dances are.

I reckon there's 26 girls mentioned in 52 Girls. There's two different girls named Kate and Jack (or Jan?) is different from Jackie-O. So if you sing it twice there's 52 in total.

But are Tina and Louise two separate girls or is it a "Gilligan's Island" reference?

I was listening to time capsule and wondered about this. it seems that they would demonstrate all the mentioned songs when it was performed live.

I've watched that 1983 performance numerous times (they were on fire then) but had somehow never seen 1990. For a band that might be perceived as repeating the same schtick for decades, the differences in arrangement are really interesting. Not to mention the ad-libbed dance crazes. Do the game show contestant!
