I'm looking for the Mp3 to Katamari on The Rocks (Arrangement) from the PS2 game "We love Katamari". Can anyone help me out?

Also, if someone could somehow get me the sheet music for said song, I would explode with glee. I want my choir that I direct at my high school to sing this song to raise Katamari awareness.

wow I may have to grab that. this album is really special to me. I still can't believe that the people who put it together did virtually nothing else. explains perhaps why there's still nothing like it. (the OST to the second game comes close. after that...forget about it)

"Angel Flavor's Present" is my pick. I can't help but get strange and emotional whenever I hear it. It's got to the peak of...whatever genre that is

I should really get around to listening to this album, since I would probably like it. At the time it came out, I was really into a lot Japanese groups like Plus-Tech Squeeze Box, Hazel Nut's Chocolate, Mcdonald Duck Eclair, Sonic Coaster Pop, and early Capsule, and just felt a little too hip to listen to listen to things that were being widely embraced by the Internet. Especially in the video game soundtrack realm.

a lot of Katamari is very Shibuya-Kei - all the bossa nova stuff, all the acoustic jazz jams. reminds me of the "Sushi 3003/4004" compilation CDs. i believe the main guy behind the games was doing that kind of music. so its a lot of exotica mixed with retro synths and glitch/chiptune stuff.

i love the popping fizzing humming hub theme. it is very tactile, very pleasing to listen to. like ASMR bubbles popping or something. it has a very psychedelic and DIY sound with the acoustic guitar and weird noises. the intro is on some Jean-Jacques Perrey trip.

its even a bit like Circulatory System/Olivia Tremor Control. i bet he has heard those albums.

i'm semi-surprised this soundtrack doesn't seem to have gotten released outside of japan on cd or even digitally. i guess back then finding free downloads would have been second-nature to most of the target audience.

Duuuuuuuuuude. Yes, you should check out the thing that fits seamlessly among the things you enjoy but that you have inexplicably failed to check out yet. Yes. Yes indeed.

I have a fondness for all the Katamari soundtracks to varying degrees. Some of the songs are up there with my favorite music ever (nothing soothes me as unfailingly as 'Beautiful Star').
