DJ Muggs and GZA : "Grandmasters"

Anyone heard this? This collaboration between Muggs and GZA has leaked to P2P. The version I got has 13 tracks (maybe there are more?). It's got a lot of Wu-Tang members on it, inlcuding GZA, RZA, Raekwon, Masta Killa, and ODB. I'm giving it a spin, and the beats are a lot better than what RZA's been cranking out lately. I'll post back later, when I've formed an opinion.

this will be the album that has been reviewed in the current Hip Hop Connection (3 stars). the label is advised as 'angeles' .. if that means anything to anyone.

ODB doesn't seem to have a "verse" per se... As far as I can tell, he's just got a speaking part on one track. I might be wrong though.

After one spin, I'm a bit disappointed with this release. GZA's got some pretty good verses, as usual, but the beats get repetitive after a while. While they're pretty good, none of the beats are very memorable in my opinion. I dunno, might grow on me.

Man, ten years ago I'd be creaming all over my britches at the prospect of this collaboration. Now, I'm just kinda curious.

Fruit flies like a banana.

I think this album is underrated as hell. It's great.

Great album. Hangs together really well and has some great guest spots. ODB's 'verse' is a spoken intro and then the track itself ("All in together" feat. Rza) talks about him and what he did.

Well worth finding. Beats may not be the most memorable but they work!
