rfi: 70s hard rock/psych band orang-utan

hi i'm interested in the uk band orang-utan (ex jason crest) who released their lp only in the us-it's meant to sound like led zep/leafhound but does it?

Orang-utan sounds a great deal like both bands, especially the latter. The singer, whomever he is (Brian Prebble?), does have alot in common with Pete French.
I only have the album on mp3 and as i'm not home currently I can't give you any info regarding the Album, but if you send me a mail there might be some way to send you a sample or two...

eight months pass...
I produced the record you're talking about. Not sure if I can remember too much about it, it was recorded in one day. Engineered by Roy Thomas Baker (Queen) released on the Bell label (Arista). The driving force as I recall was drummer Jeff Seopardie. They were not called Orang Utan originally, but renamed for the album. I cant recall their original name, but they were quite good!
