Tragedy (For You)

With that skill that was hers alone
She drove her clutches into me
I was dumbfounded
She was hungry
She required me entirely

All that's left is here to remain
It's a dull and cruel pain
That passes the ages unaltered
Her stamp is in my heart
I still feel disemboweled
I clearly retain
A blank
The void

The sore in my soul
The mark in my heart
Her acid reign

Hot sun, global fun
Needed action, start to run

And that voice that was hers alone
Still resounds in me
She left me dislocated
Disavowed
And twitching
Her rhythm is in my heart
She inspired in me
An acute sense of treachery

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Is it actually 'reign' in the official lyrics? Those wacky Belgians.

This song miffs me only in that I expected the rest of Tyranny (For You) to be equally good, when it was not. But then the two 1993 albums came along and all was not only right with the world, it was brilliant.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:20 (twenty-one years ago)

You're forgetting about "Moldavia".

(That said, Off is fucking amazing.)

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:22 (twenty-one years ago)

(Seriously, there are some days when "Moldavia" is the greatest song on Earth. "IT FLIES!!!!!" Awesome.)

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, this is ABSOLUTELY true.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Official Version still slays all thee.

"W.Y.H.I.W.Y.G."!!! Front 242 doing Neu! basically.

"We're coming DOWN! We're coming DOWN! We're coming down? WE'RE COMING DOWN!"

"Aggressiva"... that insane sampled crazy guitar solo a la Young Gods (or perhaps predating them?) "IT'S UP TO YOU TO DECIIIIIIIIIIDE" *insert sample of L.A. traffic report*

Not to skunk on the "Tragedy (For You)" parade. To Front 242's credit, they did the secret bonus track at the end thing on Tyranny (For You) just before Nirvana did it on Nevermind.

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Official Version was the first F242 album I heard and to this day it remains the only one I don't really have any desire to revisit.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Am I going to have to chase you around like the guy with the egg in the "headhunter" video? (Or are you just going to play the broken eggshell model woman and preen your albumen?)

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

LOCK THE TARGET
BAIT THE LINE
SPREAD THE NET
CATCH THE MAN

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I realize it's not "thee consensus 242".. but Official Version is their best, IMHO. Everyone always says Front By Front, and while that's certainly a more danceable album over all, there's more filler than bang. Also the album version of "Headhunter" is weak compared to the single version -- either one.

Official Version is pretty much bang all the way through... even that last track with the preacher man.

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I will agree with all of you though regarding the goodness of 06:21:03:11 Up Evil / Evil 15:06:06

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:58 (twenty-one years ago)

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:01 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, now I like Black Strobe a lot.. and they certainly are an ILM favorite.. but can i vent?

WHY CAN'T ALL YOU BLACK STROBE WORSHIPPING FUCKERS APPRECIATE THAT, AS FUN AS THEY ARE, THEY ARE ULTIMATELY A FUCKING FRONT 242 RIP-OFF THROUGH AND THROUGH?

Ok, I'm better now.

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:03 (twenty-one years ago)

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, you guys are making me want to hear Official Version for the first time in... thirteen years???

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:04 (twenty-one years ago)

dig it out.

'quite unusual' and 'masterhit' too. how can you resist?

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:06 (twenty-one years ago)

"Red Team" is the best Front 242 song not too many Front 242 fans know.

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Donut, I think you should revive a Black Strobe thread and make people cry.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyway, yes, "Quite Unusual." I was actually thinking of listening to the album the other day. Dan, you must give in.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Far and away my absolute favorite track by Front 242.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Incidentally, the video for this is amazing as well.

RED ROVER RED ROVER SEND DAVID RIGHT OVER!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Good idea, Ned. Here's a review you should check out before you do so.

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:24 (twenty-one years ago)

snigger.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:25 (twenty-one years ago)

An absolute travesty of a review. Someone shoot that man.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 13 May 2005 20:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Slightly OT, but...

This thread makes me think back to my high-school days. The first album I ever special-ordered was Front 242's No Comment (on vinyl, with the bonus live tracks on a separate 7-inch). I had heard one track (No Shuffle, maybe) one time on the local college radio (KCOU), which didn't fully prepare me for what I ended up with. I remember thinking I should have listened more carefully to the broadcast -- I was probably expecting something more like Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, and the other synthpop I knew and liked at the time. But my initial disappointment was mixed with a sense of excitement and danger. I mean, that seems silly, but it's true: I had no real awareness of Punk music, so this was my first exposure to a band that valued attitude more than craft. (I suppose the craft side fell into place on their later releases...)

I haven't heard it in ages. I might like it more now than I did originally, but on the other hand I'm sure it would seem "ordinary" now, compared to the impact it once had on me.

Paul in Santa Cruz (Paul in Santa Cruz), Friday, 13 May 2005 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

No Comment is worth it for the original version of Commando, which hasn't dated badly at all. I can't say the same for the rest of the album. Geography even dates better.. and that album is pretty much Kraftwerk rip-off thru and thru.. but there are excellent moments that make it redeemable.. "U Men" being one of them. I like the live version from the 7" from the original No Comment issue (which is a bonus track on the CD), but it pales compared to the original "U Men".

(No relation to U-Men, the band, who were also great... but completely different)

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 13 May 2005 21:09 (twenty-one years ago)

ah but 'no comment' has the super 'lovely day' while geography has (my personal fave 242 song) 'kampfbereit'.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 13 May 2005 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

So, this thread prompted me to dig out the "Religion" maxi-single, and holy fuck, it's really good. Anyone need this? Remixed by Andy Wallace, J.G Thirlwell, The Prodigy, and The Orb. Let me know.

By the way Dan, I hope that you are planning to devote at least 24 hours to an endless music exchange frenzy while you visit dear old MPLS. Anything less would make baby jesus cry...bring yer front 242 with, as everything I have is via moldy tape format.

John Justen (johnjusten), Saturday, 14 May 2005 03:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha John, I've already begun negotiations with the family for just such a block of time to do a music exchange! Maybe if I can get them to rush through the speeches at Dad's retirement dinner, I can get get a couple of days free. ;-)

Something very similar happened to me with Ministry! I was introduced to them by hearing "(Everyday Is) Halloween", "Over The Shoulder" and "All Day", all three of which I loved. When I heard they had an album coming out, I rushed out to buy it and spent a good five minutes convincing my mother to let me play it on the car's tape player during the ride home, reassuring her that it was relatively accessible synth-based dance music with edgy lyrics.

Then "Stigmata" kicked in. Um, oops. I did eventually end up loving that album but WOW was that not at all what I was expecting (also Mom wasn't too impressed with "Diety" or "The Missing", and thank God she made me turn it off before it hit "Flashback" otherwise I probably would never have seen that tape again).

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 14 May 2005 10:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Hehehe. Not quite the same story with me, but I bought Land of Rape and Honey based on a rave in the LA Weekly and friends of mine in the UCLA dorm I was in were all "Oh yeah, Ministry, good dance songs." I played the album and went "Duhwhuh?" It took me getting into Metallica and the Sex Pistols (yes, I know Dan, sorry) a couple of months later to fully understand what all the evil noise Al was creating was about.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 14 May 2005 14:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, it's not called Land of Kittens and Honey!

Paul in Santa Cruz (Paul in Santa Cruz), Saturday, 14 May 2005 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Minor details.

I play Official Version now and I am merry. It does sound surprisingly contemporary, does it not?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 14 May 2005 20:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, lots of love for the Evil and Off albums here. I've always written them off as meh. Gonna revisit them right now...

cdwill, Saturday, 14 May 2005 20:59 (twenty-one years ago)

06:22:09:12 Off is all about "Cage" and "Crushed" for me, ESPECIALLY "Crushed". That song is flat-out astonishing to me (in fact I need to hear it today).

I recognize that you shouldn't expect light and airy tweenes from an album titled The Land Of Rape And Honey but I was at least expecting some good mechanical industro-dance a la "Over The Shoulder" on speed. All of that guitar scared me (although "Stigmata" was still compelling, it just wasn't what I was expecting). I actually already liked Metallica, Megadeth and Iron Maiden so I didn't have that far to go to appreciate the album but talk about an odd first impression!

(When John bought Confessions Of A Knife... and played it for me it completely rocked my world in precisely the way I was expecting LORAH to hit me; this is probably why TKK is still one of my favorite groups while Ministry fell by the wayside after 1989.)

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Sunday, 15 May 2005 11:58 (twenty-one years ago)

GUESS WHAT SONG I FELL BACK ON TODAY????

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

It assuaged the sore in your soul. (Get on the Ciara album thread again plz!)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Bloody goths

BTW Dan you should check the Brown Wedge in half an hour or so.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 14:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh god I had forgotten about "Crushed"... It completely owned my 1994.

Baaderonixx (it must be a camel) (Fabfunk), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 14:46 (twenty-one years ago)

This should be linked to this one and only Front 242 thread... started by Now-I'm-The-Daddy Seward!

donut debonair (donut), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

(ps I am buying Official Version today if I can find it)

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:48 (twenty-one years ago)

As well you should. My relisten convinced me of its goodness (which I already knew, but once again).

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I should stop confusing these guys w/ Level 42, shouldn't I?

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

*beats Daver down* YES, THE ANSWER IS YES YOU SHOULD STOP.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:52 (twenty-one years ago)

You're more than welcome to confuse Front Line Assembly with Level 42, however.

donut debonair (donut), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Level 42 have at least two great songs! Granted, they sound nothing like Front (242)|(Line Assembly) but still.

The Ghost of There Must Be Something About You... (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Level 42: 2
Front Line Assembly: 0

donut debonair (donut), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

FLA has at a minimum the entirety of Gashed Senses And Crossfire, Caustic Grip and "Mindphaser"!

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 17:59 (twenty-one years ago)

SO RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 18:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan and I managed to stomp around for hours at a FLA show, despite the fact that the venue was a converted movie theater and the floor was at about a 30 degree slant.

I feel it unlikely that either of us would have done the same for level 42.

Therefore, FLA wins.

By the way, Die Warzau released a new album today. I shit you not. Only Dan and I will care. Link to apparently indicative single here:

http://www.pulseblack.com/files/dw/DIEWARZAU-BLACK_MASSIVE_COMPILATION-INSECT.mp3

Arghbargle! Arglebargle! Arglebarglebargle!

It might take me a few more listens, I guess...

John Justen (johnjusten), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 18:06 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, I listened some more. Now I like it...it's no "Funkopolis", but really, what is anymore?

SINS OF THE FLESH
AND NAKED AGGRESSION!

is playing right now for me. Whoohoo!

John Justen (johnjusten), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 18:11 (twenty-one years ago)

In order to remind myself about the brilliance of "Tragedy (For You)", I dl'ed "Tyranny For You" over the weekend. I also tracked down some of the "Religion" remixes. I'm surprised that I never came across the Orb ones before. Maybe that's because they're a bit "meh".

In celebration of all this, my old cassette copy of "Front By Front" was also enjoyed by yours truly this past Saturday afternoon.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

poor old front line assembly. they did have some fine moments. that first john carpenter esque record on dossier and the first two on third mind were pretty good. 'digital tension demntia' too. saying that, i can't imagine ever digging them out again.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

OH MY GOD JOHN THE FLASHBACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

FUCK YOUR GODDAMN DREAMS!

I knew that a new Die Warzau album was coming out but I didn't know when. NOW I KNOW. I am totally spending my lunch money at the music store tonight.

The Ghost of I (heart) Sister Machine Gun (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Poor old FLA went to put out albums that would blatantly sample contemporaries like Aphex Twin and other people spawned from the late 80s school of Wax Trax!, more or less. That's more pathetic than poor.

donut debonair (donut), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 18:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, I couldn't find Official Version but but BUT I DID GET THE NEW DIE WARZAU ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very good. Not as good as the second album but still enjoyable; they've completely embraced their pop side now which works very well most of the time, the downside being that when it doesn't work they sound a little like old men imitating Linkin Park.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, they are old men. Or at least older. (I actually think their crowning moment was the Depeche rip "All Good Girls.")

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 13:11 (twenty-one years ago)

"All Good Girls" was great but honestly nothing can touch "Funkopolis" and "Shock Box".

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

God, now I'm singing Anything Box's "Living in Oblivion" to myself. (This is not a bad thing but it is a curious thing.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

As long as we're meandering down memory lane, I just hauled out "Burn Like Brilliant Trash at Jackie's Funeral" and "Content" by Machines of Loving Grace. Bassline from "Content" = wow gee golly, that's good. I met the old bass player (he works for Fender now) and told him that I had spent days suplicating the bassline and he gave me sort of an "what album?" quizzical stare.

HI DAN!

John Justen (johnjusten), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Um. Not "suplicating", "duplicating". If I had been suplicating the bassline, the stare would have been a bit more warranted. I'm sort of tired.

John Justen (johnjusten), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

"I created a religion based on your bass, O Holy Prophet Of The Low End."

HI JOHN! It kind of sucks that you can't edit posts, huh?

I need to listen to Machines Of Loving Grace as soon as humanely possible.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Did you ever see them? Caught them opening for Peter Murphy in 1992, put on a reasonably good if studied-in-terms-of-violence show. Favorite song of theirs remains "Cicciolina."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Did they by any chance open for Curve at the Palace in 1993?
If so, zzzzzz

Baaderonixx (it must be a camel) (Fabfunk), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

ARGH. No, I never did see them because I didn't really start regularly going to shows until 1996 (and that only really lasted a year).

I am having huge flashbacks to the Front Line Assembly show that John and I went to in... '92? It was kind of like dancing on that tilting platform from Janet Jackson's "Doesn't Really Matter" video only without the anime.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Did they by any chance open for Curve at the Palace in 1993?
If so, zzzzzz

Haha, I was at that show! As was Elvis Telecom. But no, that wasn't Machines of Loving Grace, that was the excerable Engines of Aggression.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah yes, god I hated that band.
The cassette single we got for free during that show became a much-loved torture mechanism while driving...

Baaderonixx (it must be a camel) (Fabfunk), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Engines of Aggression?????

Okay, even at the height of my industropop fandom I would have drawn the line there (and I have a CD and CD single by Big Catholic Guilt).

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

The cassette single we got for free during that show became a much-loved torture mechanism while driving...

I think we buried ours. To prevent it from coming back.

Dan, I am pleased to see you had bounds.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.spacecityrock.com/stories/sometolove.html

Engines of Aggression
Speak
Priority

Engines of Aggression represents another band that suddenly realized it is much easier to use samples and a drum machine than to actually try to do anything creative or interesting. In the process, they have joined the ever-swelling ranks of bands who record this kind of punk/industrial/rock stuff, along with such luminaries as Grotus, Rage Against the Machine, and of course, the one's that showed it could be profitable, Nine Inch Nails (I balk at calling them pioneers).

Their press stuff says that their incredible work ethic explains why they had a full-length on a major label within six months of their formation. I think it has more to do with undemanding music and a music industry more concerned with turning a quick buck and cashing in on a trend than signing interesting bands or building a long-term, loyal audience. No one ever said art and capitalism were a perfect fit, eh?

At the same time, their lyrics are all about being disaffected, about not selling out or being complacent. Okay, maybe I'm too cynical. Maybe the Engines are really a quartet of politically active, sincere, concerned musicians. Maybe. On the other hand, their music is awfully easy on the ears for something designed to shake the world up. Hey -- being political is fun!

-- B.B.

The Ghost of Skating The Line Between "HAHA" and "FUCK YOU" (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I am quite certain that the above review is the only time I have ever seen Grotus referred to as luminaries. Or mentioned in print, for that matter.

Am I the only one who still remembers/adores Grotus? Probably.

Engines of Aggression was truly godawful though...

John Justen (johnjusten), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah, Grotus. Saw them on a bill with the Melvins and Mr. Bungle, which I've referred to elsewhere as the greatest 'fuck with the audience' show I've ever seen.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 16:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw that tour in MPLS, but for some reason don't remember the Melvins being on the bill. Of course, that might have been stored in one of the brain cells that the aging process has kicked to the curb...

John Justen (johnjusten), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 16:12 (twenty-one years ago)

DO I REMEMBER GROTUS???? John, are you forgetting that I'm here?

Actually can we talk about Nasa now, seeing as everyone who ever heard that album (except maybe donut bitch) is currently on this thread having a nostalgia fit?

The Melvins definitely didn't play that show, John; I remember because that was the night I hyper-extended my elbow in the moshpit.

(hahahaha oh no was that the night I told F****h that if she didn't have anything intelligent to say, she should shut the fuck up?????)

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 16:40 (twenty-one years ago)

For John:

Mr. Bungle, the Melvins and the greatest show ever.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

I can trace my NASA knowledge back to the "Just Say..." compilations of yesteryear. I should find those and listen to them again...

Hey Dan...remember "Fresh Kills"? This is, after all, electronic body music we're all talking about here. When I go home tonight, I'm doing a S/D on my forgotten compilation shelf. Who shall represent for "1000 Homo Fishermen"?

By the way, I have put "Hand to Mouth" by grotus on an inappropriate number of mix CD's for aquaintances in an effort to bolster their sales. Dan - rank Grotus releases! Go!

They must all be out of print by now, I'm guessing, so if anyone needs Grotus, I'm yer man.

Who was the third act on the grotus/bungle show we were at? I need to start compiling these things for posterity.

Ned, that's a great story. Out of ultra-bizarre quests on the internet years ago, I think I have a copy of the cover of "THunderball" and a few others from that very show. If you want to relive the experience, I'll get it to you somehow.

John Justen (johnjusten), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I can trace my NASA knowledge back to the "Just Say..." compilations of yesteryear.

You and a lot of us. If in fact you DO have a recording of that show or even a portion of it, I would love you forever.

I'll look for it when I get home. Might take me a bit, because it currently resides in my now unused laptop. Send me an email and let me know how to get it to you at the below genuine gmail address.

Alternately you can go here:

http://www.bunglefever.com/

and get a version that seems to be from a different show under the Audio/Live/Rare menu.

And friend of mine in O.C. has the set list from that show! (Ned, you know him, D/-\v3 M0ss0) One of us should kindly ask him to retype it out!

Hey, that's right -- just saw him a few days ago, I'll ask him about it when I see him next.

Ladies and gents, I give you... The Engines of Aggression, GRRR!!

Hilarious. You can *just* tell they missed their glam calling but unlike the similarly transmogrified Weezer didn't bury their past enough.

three months pass...
can any front 242 fans help me out? heard "headhunter v1.0" the other day for what might have been the first time, but I've heard chunks of it before - I can place the opening bit as sampled by dennis dj's "cerol na mao", but the bit which starts at around thirty seconds in - where have I heard that before? kraftwerk? miami bass? blackstrobe? the ingame music for the first command & conquer? argh!

CHARMING LMAO (John Justen), Wednesday, 19 November 2008 22:49 (seventeen years ago)

The major label one was kinda eh. Liked 'em well enough when I saw them open for the legendary Mr. Bungle/Melvins clusterfuck in 1992.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 19 November 2008 22:55 (seventeen years ago)

Maybe I should revisit all these OG 242 albums.

baaderonixx, Thursday, 20 November 2008 09:10 (seventeen years ago)

Seeing 242 next Sunday. For this tour they're playing the old stuff on vintage analog gear. I love the live tracks on Backcatalogue, hope they'll sound like that.
