Most of the discs that have "copy protection" loudly proclaimed on the disc itself, the copy protection is easily defeated...just close the program that loads up automatically, and then open up your usual disc -ripping software...most of the time it'll work just fine. If it's a dual-layer disc you might have issues on some drives, though, if it tries to default to the wrong layer every time.
Apparently you can defeat copy protection on a Mac by holding down the option key as you're inserting the disc. Or one of those keys, anyhow.

that said, in the past - i think with martin gore's counterfeit II - i've had problems.
i'm using mac os x and itunes ... as, i imagine, are millions of others. surely the copy protection can't be for wintel PCs only?
