oh man, the amazon reviews are funny, they're either one-star or five-star:

Not only is it a shoddy film in every way, but it's also kinda evil. There's not even an ending! This movie comes highly recommended ????

Basic discussion in movie: "What's up wodie? Nuttin what's up with you wodie?"

haha i need to see this.

eman (eman), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 04:18 (nineteen years ago) link

It's all gravy, wodie. This movie is for Cash Money fans only.

adam (adam), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 19:19 (nineteen years ago) link

I sold the DVD back in my broke days but we used to watch that shit all the time. The scene with the mailman in the Magnolia courtyard is like the best thing I've ever seen.

adam (adam), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 19:20 (nineteen years ago) link

That said, no one liked it but me.

adam (adam), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 19:20 (nineteen years ago) link

Not being up on my Cash Money slang, what does 'Wodie' mean?

paul c (paul c), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 21:53 (nineteen years ago) link

"Wardie" -- New Orleans is divided up into wards.

adam (adam), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 22:36 (nineteen years ago) link

so your wardie is from the same ward as you

d.c. has wards too. next time i'm there everyone around will be addressed as "wodie." tha block is hottt.

"Pass out the checks." One of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen.

There's a white Escalade platinum edition on like 22" or 24" spinners, tinted up, in one of the valet spots at the hospital I work at. Real spinners too, not the fake ass kind. There's like 20 people in New Orleans who'd have a car like that and 6 or 7 of them are in this movie. I was kind of tempted to hang out by the valet to see who came and got it but realized that might be a HIPAA violation.

The movie shows us not only the blingin hustler side of the CMMs but also their community activist side.
