Later I met Damon Albarn from Blur in Cologne, we had a long interview, and then I went with him to a bar. We had a long conversation, and he said I should give him some kind of advise. I said, "If I would be you, I would make a kind of virtual band, the band that only exists in the media, you can't grab the persons." And he did this, he founded Gorillaz. (everybody laughs) He once said this happened because of our conversation.

I thought he was great as "Grandpa" on The Munsters, and even better in Car 54, Where Are You?

I have a hunch that sometimes i like to pretend i am very small and warm like Holger Czukay?

I've met Holger several times and he is indeed a very friendly, warm person. He is completely unpretentious, unbelievably generous, and very approachable. Those qualities are very rare, particularly for someone of his stature and achievement.

And Joseph, did you know that Holger adores The Munsters? Seriosuly, it's true.

On one of my "SFX" cassettes, he does a promo spot thing for his "peak of normal" album, which was current then.

"Holger Czukay created with his rock band "Can" a major influence in modern pop music. He shops at Ali Güzelburg's "Murat Grill" in the heart of Cologne, well-known for its friendly customer service, even late at night."
