I'd have an easier time believing in the tooth fairy and weapons of mass destruction than in his straight-ness

You were inspired by that "threads guaranteed to generate more than 500 posts" thread, weren't you?

Hahahahahaaa - actually, it was the video for "Crazy Crazy Nights" on VH1's Metal Mania. Dude makes Cher look (and sound) like Hulk Hogan.

knock yerself out!

gee, what's "Flaming Youth" about?
Whoo yeah
My parents think I'm crazy and they hate the things I do
I'm stupid and I'm lazy, man, if they only knew

How flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth, our flag is flying higher and higher and higher

My uniform is leather, and my power is my age
I'm gettin' it together to break out of my cage

'Cause flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth, our flag is flying higher and higher and higher

Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth, our flag is flying higher and higher
And higher and higher and higher and higher and higher

how long d'ya think those lyrics took?

Stanley 'wrote' a song with Dylan. The best part is that Dylan called him 'Mr. Kiss.'

my friend just saw him in LA last week. with a hot blonde woman.

Who's this "Paul Stanley" chappy again!??!?!?!

Old Fart!!! (oldfart_sd), Thursday, 12 February 2004 13:23 (seventeen years ago) link

one year passes...
Paul has a new solo album coming out soon, which supposedly doesn't suck if you can believe the "early review" up at kissonline.com.

I'm looking forword to it because if you take the best five songs off Paul's last solo album and the 5 best off Ace's, you have a really great KISS record.

Something I've always wondered, though: is Paul a good guitarist? I have always just taken it for granted that he can't play a lick, but listening to KISS a lot lately, I now hear that Gene is a pretty good bass player (much better than Nikki Sixx), so I'm guessing Paul is probably a pretty good guitarist, too.

Paul Stanley vs Rob Halford: who writes the gayest lyrics? Rob Halford, SLICE.

Raw Deal

I made a spike about nine o'clock on a Saturday
All eyes hit me as I walked into the door
Then and then the guys were fooling in the demin dudes
A couple cards played rough stuff, New York, fire island

I cased the joint, straining at the scenes

I moseyed up to the counter and the tender came a-grinnin'
I snapped the smile off his face and scowled "Give me a bourbon"
The mirror on the wall was collecting and reflecting
All the heavy bodies ducking, stealing eager for some action
The scene screwed me up, I saw some contact
Then the big boys, saw me and knew that

I think Paul just got stuck in that glam rock era he grew up in. Not gay. The 4 characters were: the demon, the space ace, the pussy and the star child (glam boy).

In the same way that Rick Wakeman's solo albums supposedly don't suck according to the reviews listed on his rwcc site?

roger adultry just in case your this is a road you're intrested in traveling, here's some lyrics to one of paul's hit songs "makin' love"

I just hate when the girl says wait
I really want her by my side
Don't hesitate
I really want her by my side
The whole night through
We do all the things that we wanna do
Well, come on baby, don't leave me sad
'Cause you're good lookin', the best I've had

jackolis, Friday, 6 January 2006 04:22 (fifteen years ago) link

In music, girls are frequently used as metaphors for dudes.

ohmyface (Matt Chesnut), Friday, 6 January 2006 04:26 (fifteen years ago) link

so where does that leave 'dude looks like a lady'?

I'd fuck him. In his star hole.

He can run, he can hide
But he'll never get away
He can lie and deny
But you know he's really gay!
Never came out, never thought he could
We'd treat him right, yeah you know we would
We could fight but tonight
There’s nothin’ he can do...
I Want Dudes! (I want dudes)
Baby, baby, babe, I want dudes (I want dudes)

No wait. Here's the real lyrics:
You can walk in a haze
You can travel till you die
You can live in a dream
And your life will pass you by
Every day that you hesitate
You’re never changin’ the hands of fate
You can fight but tonight
There’s nothing you can do
I Want You
