What musicians/other famous people have made posts on ILM?

I mean besides regulars like Momus and John MGD. Like, I just read that thread where Fred Falke popped in, and I seem to remember one where the House Crew guy posted as well. And those were just the dance ones! I can't even imagine what's going on in threads I don't have the time for.

I'm sure someone's already made threads like this, so if so just point me to them.

I tried to get Paul Barman to post on an MC Paul Barman thread, but he said "Why would I post on a thread of hate like that?"

This depresses me hugely, as I have nothing but respect and admiration for Paul Barman.

Members of Nuclear Valdez ("Summer") and Flaming Ember ("Mind, Body & Soul," "Westbound #9") have contacted me because of blog entries I made about them.

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 21:13 (fourteen years ago) link

all five members of The Scissor Sisters

! What prompted that, or should I ask?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 21:32 (fourteen years ago) link

I reviewed a small club gig of theirs at The Cock Live in London in the Summer of 2003, which got me into the top ten on Google for "Scissor Sisters" for a while. Babydaddy sent me a nice friendly "thanks for the mention" e-mail shortly afterwards - then when they played The Social in December 2003 (small 200-ish capacity venue), I got talking to all of them afterwards, and discovered that all of them had read and remembered the review. It was, shall we say, a Moment.

"it's the coolest message board, man, and everybody seems to know know everything."

Beck (giving me a pretty blank stare): ...sounds pretty cool...

I swear to the heavens that after that I thought about semi-ironically asking him "so how about that Merriweather Post Pavilion, eh?" but decided against it.

I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few musicians post here occasionally. I'd also be surprised if they used their real names. I mean, we're talking about people who love music, and probably like discussing it from time to time.
