their new album starts off with two great tracks, but then falters. Have they released anything more similar to the first two tracks?

I wouldn't expect there to be much. Isn't it their first album? I think it's a very good album, including some of the later tracks, although I remember one of the early ones being lame - could be the same place you say it all goes wrong.

God, you're right. I just put it on again, and those first two songs put all the rest to shame. Some might have interesting textures, but they're just aimless fragments, except for track 8, "Platonic Rate".
