i dont think anyone has ever talked about this band on ilm, maybe im wrong though.they really rule.you all should peep "hide the kitchen knives" for a really orignal (and awesome) take on modernday angular rock. creepy, rocking, and strangley catchy with plenty of samples/keyboards/electronics.this band can only get better.

well they are definitely Emo, but I like them well enough. More original and angular than most. I have seen them live a few times here in Dallas, but haven't felt compelled to buy the albums (probably cuz I know I can catch them live almost any given weekend) (oh and I did buy a 7" and a t-shirt)

yeah, so far i've just heard one song off the new album ("one day he went out for milk and never came home", but I liked it.

enough w/the long/pretentious/emo song titles though, c'mon now!

Someday This Could All Be Yours Pt. 1 is awesome, more melodic + muscular than previous records but still plenty creepy/angular.

This is sitting somewhere in the middle of my promo pile that I really need to dig into.

Listened to "Now You Are One of Us" for the first time in way too long today, won't make that mistake again (the long layoff, not the listening). Also recall how great live they were... I cannot imagine the band is still around especially with John Congleton's increasingly disparate and full dance card producing and engineering... But wow, what a run of some great albums.

The man behind The Paper Chase John Congleton (who also has produced a ton of albums I love by the likes of Baroness, St. Vincent, Chelsea Wolfe, Cloud Nothings and a thousand more) has a debut album coming out as John Congleton and the Nighty Nite on 4/1 through Fat Possum.

This is the first single fro the album "Until It Goes"

This is the second single released from the album "Your Temporary Custodian."

He seems just as fucked up as with his previous band but it's not as guitar-oriented. I'll probably pick it up when it comes out.
