A band I've heard the name of, but not read a thing about. Now wouldn't be interesting if music magazines did things like writer informative pieces about bands we'd not heard of before? Like this. What a concept!

They're female hip hop from north of NYC (I think).
Pretty good.
Have a slight pro-female stance.
The music is a lot more acoustic sounding than most chart hip hop, their rhymes aren't as good.

New mini album (1/2 hourish long) is out on wichita soon or now

The tracks I've managed to download had good rhymes. Very middle class, as befits, although they remind me of a female beastie girls. But I like the voices best, especially MC Hester Prynne.

big in new york, which helps, I've been a little underwhelmed so far, but everyone I know loves 'em so who knows.

I think I was underwhelmed too. I'd like to know if they put together the music cause some of it is very nice. One of the tracks has a lovely acousitc drum and bass intro which unfortunately then turns into more stilted mechanised/quantised beats.

Underwhelmed is a good word and it's pretty much what i was too.

Perhaps I was expecting too much after hearing Princess Superstar who has a similar accent.

'Paul's Boutique' pitched up to about +6 basically. Nice but nothing hugely diverting.

One of 'em used to be on Hillary Clinton's campaign team and the first track on the album has the lyric, "Don't blame me cos I voted for Gore." Fuxake. What next? 'Destroy This Fucking System (I'm With You In Spirit)' perhaps.
