OMGOMGOMG. I am verklempt in the ganectagazoid over reading this. YMO reissues!!!! MY musical prayers have been answered, too!!!! OMG, you know how hard it has been for me in the past to just get the two CDs I've gotten thus far? OMG, now I can even get the U.S. release of their self-titled debut! (I have the Japanese CD, and seeing as though I don't know how to read kanji [that the right word?] script, I am totally lost as to what the sleeve says.)
Are there any here on this board who don't yet have BGM? If so, PLEASE DO GET IT. It is my favorite YMO album, with one of my favorite songs of all time, "Ballet". It was a miracle I could get the CD, and even more so that I acquired the vinyl.
This is just too cool for words. Millar, thanks for posting this awhile back, and Patrick South, thanks for pushing this thread upward so I could see it. You have made a very blue person feel not so blue.

(Not at all prompted by me listening to a greatest hits disc or anything, of course. The Senor Coconut tribute album is good fun too.)

So did these reissues disappear as suddenly as they appeared? All I ever found were expensive Japanese imports.

Time flies eh. I recall looking hard for them around 2004 with no luck.

here's a great video, featuring Bill Nelson, David Palmer, Keiichi Suzuki, and ex-Plastic Hajime Tachibana. Takahashi nearly cracks up multiple times

re: BGM
WTF, "Happy End" sounds like a freaking Asmus Tietchens song, all cold and generative
