So apparently the ShowClix CEO posted a letter of apology about yesterday here. As everyone is reading it, it's also down as well. There's just a 404 note and this image and caption instead:

the link points to a google search for "animated gif online". does that mean i have to use a crappy automatic gif maker? can't i just use photoshop?

aw man, and it doesn't even matter if the animation is good or not.the quality of the gif doesn't matter.

The official rules say "GIFs will not be judged", and then go on to talk about a random drawing for the winners. All that submitting a gif gets you is 2 chances to win instead of 1, essentially.
So you could submit a flashing text gif that says "KRAFTWERK" and it counts as much as a 400-frame epic journey through the pulsating electronic veins of Ralf & Florian, basically.

My 21 month old daughter asked for Robots tonight. Last weekend we listened to Man Machine a few times but I didn't think she remembered. As soon as I put it on tonight she started dancing. This made me extremely happy.
