At an afterparty in 2009 I put on Hammock's "Kenotic" LP and a woman at the party very unfairly said "not that bloody massage parlour music"

Now it's 2023, I make mixes, my wife has just qualified as an acupuncturist, and I want to make a mix for her to use during treatments.

Which tracks would you suggest which are very relaxing/meditative AND completely non-cheesy AND don't use any sort of Chinese/Indian/other Asian instruments?

You would think there is a lot of ambient music that fits the bill, but seems there is less than I initially though.

This is the first thing I thought of, but not sure if it works

Probably not remotely what you mean but Les Professionals has always been the auditory equivalent of a big exhale that loosens your shoulders for me

I love it but it's maybe a bit too sexy

I'd recommend Christoph Berg's Paraphrases.

I'd recommend some Nordic jazz noir

I listen to the Swedish group Carbon Based Lifeforms a lot and find them very relaxing:

Andre 3000 just released an album for you :)

And co-sign on Carbon Based Lifeforms too. They've got. couple of good playlists on Spotify worth checking out.

this one might be a little obvious if you like the sort of minimal Japanese ambient music that Youtube's algorithm pushes. But:
