A spin-off from the King Sunny Ade thread. Please help me and ILM dive further into this entrancing music.

Thanks. I'm coming at this from Sunny Ade's 80s stuff, so it's really interesting to go back further in time.

The Lijadu Sisters mix it up with soul/pop influences but the Juju roots still come through. I confess I've only heard of them because of an upcoming reissue campaign.

There are a bunch of Admiral Dele Abiodun albums on Tidal; I'm listening to Agba Wa Bura now. It's pretty rockin', somewhere between King Sunny Ade and harder Afro-rock (lots of guitar solos, some nice soul organ). Mastered from an old scratchy LP.

Admiral Dele Abiodun
Have seen his name a bunch over the years but have never really taken the time to dig in. I should

Highly recommend Ebenezer Obey (sometimes billed as Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey).
